BEST ANSWER: This cable showed up unshielded, unusable as an audio cable for any application.
Had to take my whole bass rig apart looking for the cause of the hum.
RMA’d, explained why, yes they did replace it...
with another unshielded cable.
Disappointing to say the least.

Yes. It's an instrument cable so it can used for Bass, Guitar, Keys etc. I'm a Keyboard player in two 80's rock cover bands, I use these cables with my live rig. Tough, and reliable. Hope this helps.

Yes it can. 1/4 TS is the standard connector for all amps. Right angle works on most amps. Just make sure it can clear knobs and amp cabinet design near the input.

You should be able to use it as a standard instrument cable. But they are only 6 feet long, so you won't have much distance between bass and amp.

Monoprice sells Premium TS (unbalance) right-angle cable in various lengths. These are nice and heavy cables but get a lot of complaints and bad reviews when used as instrument cables. Could it be because these a speaker cables and not instrument cables? I've recommended Monoprice to everyone I know but when it comes to these 1/4", it doesn't seem like Monoprice really know for sure what they're for.

BEST ANSWER: I have these cables running from an audio mixer to a headphone amplifier and from there into a powered speaker pair, so line level in all cases. The signal is clean and I have had no issues.

I used one for guitar signal and one with drum machine signal. No issues with either. I agree they seem really thick.

Very good speaker cables I have several.
The best cable for the cost is very competitive and I feel they are better than the name brands advertised so heavily. Can not go wrong with these cables

Poor quality control?
Bought 2. One was fine. The other one was defective and has a short or similar problem which causes a lot of noisy feedback when in use.

Stationary Home Synth Studio
There very well built and works great for my home studio. As for musicians that walk around on stage with there gear, I?m not sure. It takes a different kind of wiring I hear to avoid noise. But yeah I?m my home studio things are just fine. Will order again for sure. Can?t beat the price/quality ratio for stationary use!

RMAd cuz unshielded, buzzed like crazy, good enough to send me a new one, but same issue.
Was hoping they would read what I told them, and check the whole bin.
Betting there are a lot of disappointed customers who will never order cables from monoprice again..
