working as expected
My HDD is pulled out of a WD EasyStore external case and it didn't like one of the pins from the SATA cable in my power supply. It's working great with this Molex to SATA power adapter.

SATA Power Adaptor Cable
I found these connectors on a search of the net, and Monoprice had a very competitive cost. I ordered a few, and was pleased with what I got. They were delivered on time, and the cables are well made.

Cheap, latching SATA power cable
User imjustmatthew's review is spot-on. The connector is clearly too wide, by a couple of millimeters. If lined up and connected at the same time as SATA data cable, it's possible to make it fit (very, very tightly), though. I haven't had a problem with the latch, but then again I don't have much experience with (high quality) SATA cables or much to compare to.
PROS: Inexpensive. Does the job (mostly).
CONS: SATA connection is too wide, may not fit, or fit too tight. Unsleeved cables. Latch may be too tight.
