BEST ANSWER: This cable it NOT plenum rated. If your ceiling space is plenum rated, you'll need to filter for CMP under the fire rating section of filters.

BEST ANSWER: Yes. I use the Splitter on the front end of the signal and the split it 5 ways with 75' cables. Has been working for us for the last three years. I have this setup the same way in 8 different locations.

I want to run this cable from my directv receiver to a projector and watch sports on a big screen in the yard. I’ve read where this will work, where it wont work and where it might work. Can anyone tell me what to expect from this proposed setup and preferably from someone that has already done it?

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question.
This would at most get you a 1080i signal which may not be a problem depending on what resolution your TV could reach.
You would probably get a 720p signal at worst if its a straight shot.

This does not answer the question. There is an arrow on both ends pointing out in opposite directions. I cannot find any arrows on the cable itself.
Is the input to the output, the direction of flow, where the signal enters the cable and exits the output, cable input connected to the box output or is the input what it connects to; direction of flow, the output of the cable being connected to the output of the box, to the input of the cable connected to the input of the TV?

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question.
This would be an active cable so you would have to have the side of the cable coming out of the equalizer labelled "output" connected directly to your TV.

How to tell if the cable has gone bad?
Anesia H

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question.
If there is no longer video or audio or if either the video or audio are distorted in some way then the cable would be bad.

Does exactly what I need it to. Have it connected to the output of an HDMI splitter, and the built in signal strength adjustment was a big help in getting a quality signal to the outdoor tv

Great hdmi solution
Cable worked perfectly right out of the box, once I realized it is directional. Thank you!

Didn't work for me
Ordered this cable to connect to a TV in a different room. Didn't connect at all. Customer support says some devices don't output enough power to transmit a signal more than 50 ft. Ordered monoprice product 14234 and 12738 and both worked flawlessly. Guess in this case I shouldn't have gone with the inexpensive cable.

Great Product
The cable was just what was needed in our Church Sanctuary. It arrived quickly and packaged well. Just be aware that this cable is directional and will not work if hooked up backwards. We found that out after running it through the chase. Our fault just had to reverse it.

Didn't work for me.
I don't know if the cable was bad, or if using it with a splitter was the issue, or if the little dial wasn't right. But it's longer than I need anyway, so I'll return it and get another 60' cable which worked perfectly.
CONS: No information on what the numbers on the dial mean. Is 1 the strongest or the weakest, or the best or the worst, or ??? Why would I want the dial on one number but not another? Which way should I turn it?

Disappointed
I am an installer of security cameras and home theater systems. I needed an hemi cable for a long run of about 65' to view security cameras on a smart TV. After the installation, the picture was beautiful, a few months later the picture disappeared. I tried using a different component to no avail. Ordered a different cable (P9172) which hopefully will solve my problem.
PROS: Thick and durable and ability to adjust the signal strength.
CONS: Lifetime warranty on all cables

Great price, but didn't work with our Xbox360
Although it seemed to work with other devices, the Xbox360 failed to send a signal over the cable. We returned it and went for a slightly shorter cable that specifically said it would work with Xbox.
PROS: Price, including Equalizer and a little screwdriver to adjust it.

PROS: I try to connect my laptop with BEnq DLP projector with this 75 feet HDMI cable
IN the beginning i do have a problem. The projector would not show any picture then i call the monoprice technician, he told me to adjust the scale number on the booster which is attached with the cable and to make sure the output and the source properly directed. Then, wa lah.. all worked very well. THanks monoprice.. It is good deal HDMI cable booster included.
