Most stereo cabinets are not deep enough for a high powered amplifier because of the huge heat sink. I could not fit the back on my cabinet because the speaker wires and power cable stuck straight out the back. This power cable was the solution for the power portion of my dilemma. It carries plenty of current for my 200W x 5 channel amplifier with no surprises.
PROS: C'mon... it's a power cable. It works as advertised for 14ga wire requirements
The stiffness of the cable begs the question: Is the cable made from copper-clad aluminum (CCA) stranded wire instead of purely copper stranded wire? To be fair, I don't expect that my use for this cable will require it to undergo much bending and twisting, so the possibility of CCA wire is not a concern for me.
