Can this cord be used as a replacement for the new Xbox Series X?
Brian P
on Aug 11, 2021
BEST ANSWER: Look at the shape of the plug in on your Xbox. If they are equal rounded on both sides it’s a non polarized plug. If it’s round on one side and more square on the other, it’s a polarized plug .

Yes, as long as the receptacle fits on the Xbox. The voltage and current delivered to the box is the same as the original cord.

Is this cord long enough/strong enough to double as an emergency dog leash?
DON F
on Mar 24, 2023
BEST ANSWER: I don't think the length or strength would be particularly useful, nor do I recommend any potential means of attaching this to a dog. In an absolute bind it could maybe withstand a chihuahua at most but a bulldog would be pushing it. 12/10 best customer to customer product question I've ever received. (Serious note please do not use a power cable or any cable as a dog leash, and I hope this question is indeed a joke.)

For a small dog it's strong enough, but you would need more than six feet since some length would be spent on securing it.

I have a power cord for my projector and am looking for a longer one. The specs on my cord read "18AWG X 2C 300V", but the 2 slot end of the cord that connects to the projector says "2.5A 250V" will the 15' length of this cord work? Thank you in advance.

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question.
This cable would get you enough power if the cable it comes with is a 250V, 2A cable.
If this is the right connection it would work just fine.

I need to replace an EU 2.5A 250V chord... will this work?
A C
on Oct 7, 2019
BEST ANSWER: While the product label for this cord specifies 120V only, that appears to refer to the plug style, which is a standard North America-style non-polarized plug. The imprint on the actual cable housing indicates the cord is good rated for 300V. And 2.5A is well below the 10A rating. So assuming you've got a device that can handle 250V, and have a way to physically adapt the cord's plug to your outlet (I'm not aware of any North America-style outlet standard that is for anything other than 120V), it should work.
That said, I would expect you could find a cord with the correct plug at the end for the 250V scenario, and which comes with an explicit rating that supports that use. IMHO that would definitely be a better way to go.

Power Cord !?
This power cord is great! The pure deep rich black color is fantastic, matches perfectly the AC/DC adapter for my laptop. It's also long enough to double as a dog leash in an emergency dog walking situation. Otherwise, look, it ah power cord, OK?

Just flexible enough to be useful.
It's a power cord--it powers my things. Flexible enough for the messiest of desks, reliable even in the cold, and up to 10A you're good.
Not terribly exciting.

It works. It's a power cord.
Bought this because I first bought a Monoprice sound bar which was missing the power cord in the box. I chose to just buy this inexpensive power cable so I could use the sound bar in a few days, instead of waiting many days or weeks to go through the returns process to get a new sound bar.
