Can this arm be attached to a glass desk?
A shopper
on Dec 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: In theory yes it can be attached. The clamp will function on the surface. Even tempered glass has it's limits I would especially reserve for poorly constructed furniture. Even if the tempered glass is of high quality I would put some form of a clear plate, ie tap plastics, to complete the clamp sandwich. Adding it would disperse the pressure of the clamp to a larger surface.

Am I able to anchor this through a standard 2.5" grommet hole?
A shopper
on Feb 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi, unfortunately this product does not anchor through a grommet hole. It instead has a "grommet mounting option" that provides a flat base that can be screwed to a desktop. For a product that can be attached to a standard grommet hole, you could consider the 15525 Dual Monitor Adjustable Gas Spring Desk Mount.

Hello, thank you for your question. Unfortunately we cannot recommend it as this unit was not designed to be used in that manner and we have not tested it as so. I apologize for the inconvenience

Can the arms be articulated to stack the monitors vertically (the sample pics show only a 1 x 2 horizontal layout, my preference is 2 x 1)?

BEST ANSWER: No, not with this model. Both arms have to be the same height. I think Monoprice sells another model that does that, though.

I sit in a shallow desk cubical. I want to get my monitor closer to the wall of the cubical. The stock monitor stand holds the monitor 3.25-3.5 inches from the wall. How far back can I push the monitor if I offset the monitor from the post? Is it less than 3.5"?
A shopper
on Jan 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi, you won't be able to push the monitors back to have less than 3.5" from the wall because the mounting arms would hit the wall and would cause the monitors to be around 5 inches away from the wall. If your desk were not flush against your cubicle wall, it would be possible to push the arms backwards.

So is 22 inches the largest monitor that this mount can hold, if both monitors are positioned horizontally?
Jamie J
on Apr 27, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I have two 24” monitors on the mounts and they seem to hold fine. However these monitors aren’t that heavy. I doubt they’re even close to 17lbs.

Another shopper asked the height above the desktop of the center of the VESA plate. STAFF answered that you did not have this measurement. This is really one of the key measurements a prospective buyer needs. If you do not have the measurement, you should go get it. The description that height can be adjusted to 11.8 inches is unclear. IS that the height to the VESA mounting plate, or i hat the maximum height the clamp reaches on the vertical post?

on Oct 8, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi, the center of the vesa mount can be raised to a maximum of 18.1 inches (~461mm). The height to the top of the vertical pole from the desk surface is 361mm, then add the height from the arm segments to the center of the VESA mount which is ~100mm. We'll add a link to the diagram shortly. Thanks.

Does the trick but make sure the clamp will for your desk if it needs to accommodate a frame
Came well packaged, everything was intact and undamaged. I like everything about it except the fact that I bought it to clamp to my desk, and the clamp area is not wide enough to account for the frame of my desk. I dont want to drill holes, so Im making due. It made room for my third screen, a 21.5 iMac. I like the cable management, and even though the screens do not align, I am pretty satisfied.

They don’t laugh quite right, despite being the same monitor model. But they do the trick!

good but sticks out
this is a good monitor stand. It works like it says it does - which is what we expect from a product. My only slight isn't the product's fault - it sticks out pretty badly. You can't miss seeing the monitor stand even if you wanted to. I wish they made some that were a little more pleasing to the eye. This product works well and I recommend it

These are PERFECT!!!
We ordered 2 of these for 2 separate offices and they are perfect for our set up. I use them in my conference area when meeting with clients and utilizing 2 monitors is most helpful for them to see what I see during our meetings. How did we get this far without these, is beyond me. Thank you for such a perfect product.

Worked out ok in the end
I used this mount for my 3 monitor setup. I use 2 landscape oriented monitors and 2 portrait oriented monitor. I attached the 2 horizontal monitors to this mount, and situated the vertical monitor between them, but sitting on the desk. I wish it could spread maybe just another inch in width to be perfect, but it works out well enough as it is. I also used this in conjunction with a Veridesk. The mount clamps fine to the back of the Veridesk, but you have to take the clamp apart first to get it situated in there. I had some trouble (as did others from what I read in the reviews) with getting the two screws out of the back of the clamp as one of the screws was in too tight to loosen. The head ended up being stripped out. So I had to pop the crank pad out instead. In the end, it worked out great. The only thing is that the crank handle is a little too long. It makes the back of the Veridesk rise up about an extra ½", but I can deal with that as the front is still flush. Overall, I'm very happy with the product, and may buy more for my employees. (side note: I noticed other reviewers saying that the clamp forthe main vertical pole is too big. It's not too big, you just need to know how to work it. The instructions don't tell you, but you can pull the handle out, and twist it in order to get back to your starting point so you can close the clamp further. it's a little difficult to describe, but it does work)
PROS: Better quality than expected, great price for what it is compared to other brands.
CONS: Screw in back of the clamp came assembled too tight, which prevents better adjustment. Crank handle too long from hilt to elbow. I would like it to have about another inch or so of arm reach.

Didn't work out
This didn't work well for me. One of the bolts on the clamp wont turn so it got stripped when using the provided wrench. So I tried to mount directly to the desk. The clamp for the vertical bar was too big so I was unable to tighten the clamp enough to stop the arm from sliding done the bar. I fixed this by shimming it. When I added the 2nd monitor, the mounting screws were ripped out of the desk. A friend recommended monoprice- I wouldn't recommend this product..
PROS: arms were easy to adjust
CONS: the desktop screws are a bit small for supporting any kind of weight on the arm
the clamp for the vertical rod is difficult to turn
