No, you need a keystone jack PR coupler to work with the keystone faceplate.

Besides being listed as supporting the higher Cat standard, what about the construction of this PID 15697 (Cat6A) makes it better than PID 7286 (Cat6)?

Monoprice 8P8C RJ45 Cat6 Inline Coupler, White

Monoprice Cat6A UTP In-Line Coupler RJ45-RJ45
BEST ANSWER: Hello, thank you for your question. The difference between the two is that anything that supports a Cat6a standard allows you to get the most out of your Cat6a wiring since Cat6a doubles the data transmission bandwidth, from 250 to 500 MHz over standard Cat6. It also decreases the chance of crosstalk interference; and provides superior reliability and transmission speeds through greater lengths of cable.

Will this coupler still work if connecting two CAT7 cables together or, say, a CAT7 to a CAT6/CAT5e, etc.? I realize that the coupler may restrict the data transfer speed if not designed for CAT7, but I just want to be sure that the product will still work with the speed just being capped at CAT6 or whatever the lowest standard cable happens to be that is being plugged into it, etc.

BEST ANSWER: Yes, it will work for connecting any CAT cables. The speed will be capped at the lowest cable rating or at CAT6 rating should you be connecting 2 CAT7 cables

Mine lasted 4 years, then wouldnt work past 100meg
Only lasted 4 years. Not too bad, but I expected more. These were used in-wall to couple cat6 cables, and suddenly stopped working at 1GIG and dropped to 100meg.

Works well and smaller than expected
I bought this to replace a Coupler moved to another Cable. When this one arrived, I was surprised to see it was smaller than what I have. This works well and the smaller size is a bonus. Also, Monoprice was the first online shop I found where I could buy only one, which was all I needed, and at a very fair price.
