can this panel be mounted on a wall like a wall plate in the distribution closet?
A shopper
on Jan 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I guess it can be. if you would mount it away from the wall a bit (like maybe some blocks to push it out a bit) you could mount it on a wall. it has mounting 'holes' where you can screw it to whatever on each side. Away from the wall a bit so that you can still run cable and keystones. hope this helps!

This panel is designed for rack mounting primarily, however if you wanted to mount, Monoprice also has brackets that you can use to space it away from the wall - there's both vertical and horizontal style - search for "wall rack" and you will find many options.

Not directly. If you want to mount it to the wall look this up: Monoprice Wall Mount Bracket, 1.75 X 19 X 4 (inch) , 1U.
You'll be able to screw it to this mount, which can then be mounted onto a wall.

Yes.... But you will need at least 6in of space behind so the wires can hang freely. This is not the purpose of this rack, but I can see how to do it with a little DIY.

Not by itself. The jacks and wires stick out of the back. You can use a 1U wall rack (also sold by Monoprice) that is about 6 or 8 inches deep.

Would this fit monoprice cat 6 keystone's?
A shopper
on May 5, 2023
BEST ANSWER: Almost certainly. "Keystone" refers to a specific universal fitting, so all keystone jacks, panels, etc. are technically compatible. The only issue I've run into with this is that some cat 6 keystone jacks have a big bulky back end designed to make it easier to punch down the wires. When you try to install these side-to-side, like on a patch panel or a duplex wall plate, the back ends can get too crowded. This is rare though, and as long as your keystone jacks are rectangular in shape, and not notably oblong, then it should work pretty much universally.

I have noticed these to have a little more room between each port over other brands, but I have not tried it with Monoprice. RJ45 keystone jacks. I use Logico brand - and my Logico does not fit in other 24 keystone blank panels - so that is why we now only purchase this Monoprice 24 port unit.

Monoprice 24-port Keystone Jack Panel
Monoprice Cat6 Punch Down Keystone Jack for 22-24AWG Solid Wire, Black
BEST ANSWER: We are having issues. We have used the 5378 with the 7260 but with a recent product change, the 5378 with the 2 covers does not fit in the blank keystone panel that is in the smaller packaging. The keystones with the single cover seems to fit OK.
The issue is, the products have been changed and have the same part number so it is hard to tell what you are going to get.

Depends on what version of the jack you get. Same model number but 2 different versions. If it has a 2 part cover it will not fit. If it has a 1 part cover all is fine.

I'm trying to use this with the cat6 keystone pn15704 but it doesn't fit! I was concerned with plugs being too wide per other peoples comments but no, the 15704 keystones are too tall on the face. There is a plastic insert in the patch panel. It's like 1/64th too short to fit the face of the keystone. Anyone else run into this? Keystones are too TALL.

I ordered this panel for my older Commscope Systimax keystone jacks, but they don't fit. Can anyone tell me if there is a different panel that a 25mm x 25mm keystone will fit into?

I ordered this panel for my older Commscope Systimax keystone jacks, but they don't fit. Can anyone tell me if there is a different panel that a 16.5mm x 16.5mm keystone will fit into? Ignore my previous question (micrometer was off)

Will this work for shielded cable? Is there a way to terminate the shielding?

These are terrible
The labels fall out, the plastic brackets break free, and they are generally more of a hassle to use than the previous offering from Monoprice.

Not great
You get what you pay. Cheap, plastic, difficult to insert keystones. Mines staying in the box.

It?s a keystone patch panel?
Awesome price. And well built. Doesn?t include rack studs but that?s normal. Mounted it up and works perfectly. I like that this model doesn?t have the cumbersome cable stress relief as it?s just a panel. Keystones Mount tight into it.

Awesome patch panel!
This patch panel works great, and it is a fraction of the price of the brand name brackets of the same or lesser quality!!!

Swapping manufacture keeping same sku
Changed to new manufacture, more plastic much cheaper flimsy design, bring back old model charge more if necessary, new keystone manufacture as well worse than old.

Will purchase next time
I had never used a keystone panel (instead using a standard cat5/6 patch panel), but I will be sure to get the keystone version going forward. It was so nice to be able to use color coded keystones, keystones of different types (cat6, coax, etc), and to be able to move keystones later into logical groupings as additional runs were added. I will be sure to use these in my future projects.

Fit
We have been using some manual knockdown Keystone jacks by Cable Matters and they seem a little too large to fit into these slots, Fortunately we have some jacks by Everest that we are using a EMS tool that fit very well.We are moving more to the quicker method so we plan to use these in our everyday activities.
