I was pretty sure I ordered the versions of these adaptors with the metal cores. The ones I received have plastic cores.
Probably immaterial to their functionality.

And, for some reason it took two weeks to receive my order.

Cannot recommend. The solid metal ‘unibody’ construction is nice, but the innards are poor. Makes an intermittent connection with (e.g.) Monoprice’s 5602 cable. I suspect it is due to the inner hot contact to the RCA not mating tight enough.

Ordered 10 of these, no duds. They all work well and can't find any issues with the sound. I'm happy.

This adapter is pressed together in the center section and EASILY breaks apart. I wouldn't recommend for anything mission critical or that moves even slightly

Absolute crap, ordered two, one arrived already broken. These are just two delicate and light duty for any kind of use. I'm shocked because in 10 years I'd never before gotten a bad product from Monoprice, but this is plug crap. The RCA extension is just barely attached to the plug.
