Very nice adapter, solid construction. 1/4in plugs into the jack end of the connector go in very tight. You have to give the plug an extra push in order to seat it. Once it is plugged in, the assembly is solid; no worries that anything will come loose or that you get an intermittent connection. But be forewarned, if you need to unplug the cable from the adapter it will require quite a bit of hand/thumb/finger strength.

The gold plating or finish on the adapter was very nice, with no "defects". It held up to all my grabbing, rubbing, sliding motions and sweat and finger oils contaminants when I tried to separate the cable plug and adapter ;-)

It works pretty decent on my laptop, so that is why I got it. Your preferences may vary on this, since everyone is different. I don't have one of those devices where I plug it in to a speaker or something (yet), but I will get one when I launch my career (most likely). I would recommend everyone to get this for their microphone.

Standar 1/8 (3.5mm) earphone plug to 1/4 (mono) headset, needed for recording purposes, works as intended.

A simple device, but necessary to hook up to older audio systems. It works great!

The monoprice quality should win prize for the things they sell. The plug feels solid in my hands, doesn't have cheap feel. It worked perfectly and has not had any issue with it so far with my microphone plugged into my PC. It just works!

Bought this to connect from iPad to Monoprice 50ft Premier Series XLR Male to 1/4in TRS Male Cable, 16AWG (Gold Plated) to use with an arena speaker system. However, the connection is loose, and semi-okay 50% sound is heard with manually holding the 1/4 inch cable plug within this converter just right. Not a tenable situation for playing arena music. Had to be returned.
For what it's worth, another 1/4 inch to 3.5 mm converter plug from a different manufacturer also did not work with the XLR to 1/4 inch TRS cable.

Works as described, took 1 star off as it does not fit a cell phone with a case. I wish it was thinner at the base of the plug.
