what kind of plate . could I use with these hdmi jacks?
A shopper
on Dec 6, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes you can couple two HDMI cables together. You could also run a cable within a wall attaching it to the back of the insert. The keystone insert snaps into a keystone faceplate then you can plug another HDMi cable into the front of the keystone insert.

Could this Keystone support 4k 3d and ARC?
Ka Yeng V
on Feb 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hello, thank you for your question, yes this keystone is able to pass a 4K signal as well as 3D and ARC just as long as the cables plugged into them are able to do so as well. Also please note that these are not recommended to be used with active/directional cables. I hope this helps, and of course if you have any more questions feel free to contact us!

Which coupler adapter would I use for active directional cables?
A shopper
on Jul 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. This coupler would work fine. However, you must have the Active HDMI cable on the output of the coupler. You would not be able to couple two active HDMI cables together.

Fit
I used this in a 4 port single gang yoke. the other 3 ports were CAT 6 jacks. Although all 4 inserts did fit, I had to shave off the side nipples of the HDMI coupler to fit correctly. I believe its just not made to fit next to a RJ45 jack

Great!
I use these for all of my wall installs. These were on clearance so I bought a bunch of extras to keep on hand.

Used this for an in-wall HDMI cabling application in my Home Theater setup. Running the cables in wall and adding the snap in keystone jacks onto wall plates just adds that finishing touch and professional look to your installation.
This HDMI keystone is very easy to use, just snap in and plug your cables into both sides. Done!
Hooks up in seconds!
PROS: Clean appearance, easy to use, snap in.
Perfect for that "professional" look!

Great product. Great price
Reading other reviews, I made sure to use electricians tape to secure the cable in the wall to the coupler. Had no problems. Some cables were a little large and took some planning on placement, but that is not a problem with this product.
PROS: Worked as intended. Very nice finish.
CONS: None

One Small Issue
I bought a variety of these keystone coupler inserts (HDMI, RCA jack, RJ45 and Coax) for a project and all were aggressively priced. I had one somewhat major issue with the HDMI inserts. They don't a really good, tight & secure connection between the male connector on your cable and the insert. I actually had to wiggle the cable a bit upon final connection until a picture appeared and gently cover up the installation. This is fine when there is no movement of the components (amp, Blu-ray player, etc.) on the other end of the wall jack. I would to see a more robust design even if the price when up a bit.
PROS: Very good price point.
CONS: Doesn't always make secure contact.

Works as advertised
This product works exactly as advertised as an HDMI cable extender. The only reason I gave it a 9 (and not a 10) is that I have not tried to view 3D content with it installed. My home theater installer did not run a long enough HDMI cable for two of my televisions. So the cable came out of the bottom of the wall and needed another 3 - 4 feet to reach the media cabinet storing my DirecTV cable box. I used the Keystone wall plate, inserted the HDMI jack, connected the cable from the TV to the back, added another cable to the front, and voila! problem solved.
PROS: A snap to install, literally.
CONS: None that I am aware.
