As mentioned in the cons, they don't sit 100% perfect and are a little tought to get into the wall plates. I bought thies by mistake, wanted the onces that sit outward rather then flush but hidden behind a TV who cares. I can see some trouble if you have a large RCA cable connectors as they may not fit into the amount of space thies have around the port but my "nomal" cables had no issues.
PROS: works fine, no issues, exspected quality from monoprice.
CONS: They are not that easy to get into the keystone wall plates properly, its a very tight fit and they tend to end up good but with a little visible gap on the bottom where it meets with the plates surface.
See "Cons" above. Other than that, these are all high quality components and work well in my Leviton 6-port plate. No complaints other than the above.
PROS: Constructed well. Recessed is a nice touch.
CONS: Be careful to match it to your wall plate! I purchased the PID 6733 6-port wall plate at the same time. This keystone did not fit into any of the ports. It's not a matter of it not fitting well with other keystones, by itself it will not fit into the ports. It is too wide. The other keystones I purchased (6557, 6546, 6549, and 6545 all RCA jacks) did. Keystone 6852 (HDMI jack) also was too wide for the 6-port plate.) However, fortunately, I had a spare Leviton 6-port wall plate and all 6 keystones fit into the Leviton wall plate so I am using that. I am not sure where the fault lies, but buyer be informed.
I was making a custom wall plate that has component, toslink, and rca audio. I chose to use the flush mount RCA adapters for the audio so that they would not be confused with the red component line. I found that these flush mount connectors won't work side by side in a 4x or 6x monoprice keystone plate (nor can the toslink keystone).
I found that these can go in beside a non flush mount version if you trim both keystones slightly.
However, they won't go beside another flush mount even with significant trimming. Fortunately I was able to use the non flush component keystones (red, blue, green) on one side and with a bit of trimming I got flush mount (red, white, toslink) on the other column in a 6 hole keystone plate.
PROS: They work great in 1x, 2x, or 3x keystone plates but don't work side by side horizontally in a 4x or 6x plate.
CONS: Don't work side by side!
If side by side is desired the non flush versions work better.
The retaining tabs that hold the connectors in should be rotated 90 degrees so that they can mount side by side in a keystone plate. If they had been rotated 90 degrees they would work with no problems!
If this simple fix was made they would be a 10/10.
Had to do a little dremel trimming to get it to fit next to other keystone connectors in a 2x3 keystone block. Some of the tabs and ridges are just a little too wide to accommodate close neighbors. This wouldn't be a problem in a wider-spaced keystone plate, but it was with mine. The dremeling got everything to fit and didn't compromise security or stability of any of the connectors.
PROS: Love the flush fit. Looks clean. Works great. Great price.
CONS: Won't fit side-by-side with other connector types in a 2x3 keystone panel.
