I want to connect headphone output with speaker input on my computer tower. Will this work?

BEST ANSWER: This may work if your looking for a male to male cable, i.e. plugging the cable into something on both ends. The only thing I'd watch out for is, a 3.5mm connector, is not the same as a 1/8" connector, they are close, but the 1/8" = 3.175mm. To be sure, buy a 1/8" connector unless you know for sure your female connectors are 3.5mm

BEST ANSWER: No, these are male to male. Your headphones should already be male. You're looking for an extender which would be female male.

If you have bluetooth wireless headphones that have an aux jack as a backup input, then these will work for you. However, if you have standard headphones with the cable attached, then you will need the extender mentioned above.

YES! I connected my iPhone to both a Dodge Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country factory-original audio system which has the 3.5mm connector on the lower right hand front corner of the radio. Works flawlessly.

BEST ANSWER: Yes it is. All TRS (Tip, Ring Sleeve) connectors, when wired properly are shielded. The Tip is Left +, the Ring is Right + and the sleeve is a common "ground" or "-" negative. The negative is connected to a braided "sheath" that is just below the outer rubber material. The tip and ring wires are located inside of that in order to be protected from outside electrical interference. In addition to that, the tip and ring wires are "twisted" for further electrical interference protection. An shielded is usually a speaker cable or an electrical cord. Those type of cables a typical NOT shielded because of the higher amounts of energy that they carry prevent any noticeable interference.

Have you cut one of these open to check? Just because it is TRS doesn't mean the cable itself is shielded. Headphone cables are not always shielded and shielding is not mentioned in the description, unlike many other Monoprice cables. I'd like to hear from a Monoprice representative.

It is sheathed, yes. However, this cable is only six feet long, and it's designed to carry line-level signals (i.e., volts, not millivolts at audio frequency. The chance of signal interference even with an unshielded cable would be very low.

Can I use the 644 cable to connect the 8323 headphone to my iphone 6s-plus for music listening? I would like a longer cord length compared to the four foot cable which comes with the 8323. Thank you! ---mike

These are decent cheap cables. Won't last forever, but I've had more expensive cables die in less time.

A bit long to ship but since the other option was shipping from china, Monoprice is a good option for cheap electronics parts. Will be back when the need arises.
