There's no bass drum, just a pedal?
BEST ANSWER: No need for it. The pedal does the work.
How long does it take to completely set up and break down/pack up this set, after a bit of practice doing so?
BEST ANSWER: If you take it completely apart, it would take about 15 minutes to reassemble. If you don't have to completely disassemble the set, just remove the cymbals and snare, and fold up the arms; it would only take 5 minutes to get going.
Can the kit be re-configured for left handed players?
BEST ANSWER: Looks like it's modular like any other electric drum kit, so I'd say yes. The hi hat/floor tom can be swapped and the two rack toms as well. The snare can be mounted on the right vertical pole instead of the left, and the peddles can be placed accordingly.
The manual is confusing, Does this accept midi signals from your pc and vst's via software ?
BEST ANSWER: Why would you want it to. But it does transmit the midi data into your software very well with no noticeable lag. So you can use this kit to control your software drum kits. Pretty cool.
What is the weight of everything but the pedals? Curious at how difficult it would be to pick up and carry it to another room.
BEST ANSWER: One person should be able to pickup the whole set and move it to another without any problem.
Are the kick pedals velocity sensitive?
BEST ANSWER: Yes. All the drums, symbols, and pedals are velocity sensitive. I'm trying to turn off the velocity actually. I'm just a beginner and would like it to be perfectly consistent. I'll let you know what I find out.
Will this work with yamaha or roland drum brains?
Is the snare drum tunable?
