I am getting better audio for the 'Stage Right by Monoprice USB Condenser Microphone with Cardioid Polar Pattern and Stand'. This is fine for a lot of basic needs, but not decent recordings, primarily voice.
Going to return.

I was fooled once with a competitors option. it was a total waste of time. this was out if stock when i wanted researched this initally.

This works with both my mac and work windows laptop.
headset plugs into microphone and which is its own sound usb controller.

After a year i dont have to worry about charging my headphones as i have many meetings. The microphone is about 24 inches from me and nobody has had any issues with audio.

No issues with most video/streaming software. it just works.

This setup is easy to install and use for all of the Google Meet video conferencing I'm doing. The sounds quality is leaps and bounds better than the headset I was previously using. Folks on the video calls say my sound is crisp and warm. The arm makes it easy to swing the mic out of the way when I'm not using it and the local gain and mute make it easy to manage the sound without going into settings on my computer. I'm using a set of bluetooth earbuds instead of the included headphones and I added the universal shock mount (602720). The microphone is also a USB sound device so you can plug in a pair of headphones for another audio output if needed.
