Does this amp come with the 2-button foot switch or is that extra?
A shopper
on Jul 13, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The user's manual does not list the foot switch as part of the package contents, so I'm assuming it is sold separately from the amp head. The set sells it complete with the switch.

Is the rectifier solid state or tube driven?
New User U

BEST ANSWER: Looks like it only has pre amp and power amp tubes. Must be SS rectifier. If it sounds as good as the 15 then I would not worry about AU tubes.

I recently purchased a Monoprice Stage Right 30 watt tube stack. It seems like the reverb is significantly underpowered. Does anyone have experience with this?

on Jul 19, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I think the reverb is quite loud, actually. Perhaps it sounds like a lot to me because I'm comparing it to my Marshall DSL 40CR, which has underwhelming reverb.

it sounds like a spring reverb. there should be a reverb tank. check the tank wire connections and its mount for anything loose.

I saw in a YouTube video that this amp has a toroidal power transformer rather than a traditional EI transformer, which is uncommon for tube amps. What’s the design philosophy here?
A shopper
on Sep 22, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Toroidal power transformers are used on high end amps. The advantages include: less magnetic interference to adjacent components, increased efficiency and cooler operating temperature as well as lighter weight.

This amp is tubetastic!
I purchased this amp for 2 reasons. The first was the price. I bought it on sale for 20% off the already low $400 price tag.. The second was all the positive reviews that i had read. After I plugged it in I realized that not only was it a good amp for the price it was also just a good amp period. Its not a high gain monster, but it has great warmth and overdrive and can be utilized for almost any style of music.. My only issues with this amp are that the reflective panel behind the knobs makes it hard to read and the logo on the front looks generic and cheap. Both of those are very minor though and I would definitely recommend this amp. Also the amp does not come with a footswitch so be sure to purchase one as well.

Great tube amp to those who could not afford one.
I dont know if it compares in sound to a Laney amp. I will say straight out of the box the Monotone 30 watt. all tube amp head is a great tube amp. Its got transparency. Good warm overdrive and great clean sound that you get from an all tube guitar amp. It just arrived have not put any pedals or effects to it. For the price it is affordable to those who have always wanted a tube guitar amp but could not afford one. This is your chance to hear what a tube guitar amp is all about and you will wish you had it sooner. Don't miss out. I will buy a 60 watt or 100 watt version if and when they offer them.

My personal impression of the Monoprice Stage Right 30 watt tube amplifier.
I like the simple way this amplifier is laid out. The clean channel to the left and the dirty to the right. Channel selection is simple with the Monoprice footswitch which also controls the reverb. The three controls for tone shaping and an overall presence control are quite effective. I like the way that the tubes are in order. One preamp for the clean and two for the dirty. Each channel appears to have 2 power tubes assigned to it. The amp not only features channel switching, reverb on/off it also has an effects loop! All features that more expensive amplifiers may or may not have.
