there's several versions of a strat that Indio carries, but if you're referring to the $99 cali ,then I would consider the neck to be identical.
My cali at least with rosewood fingerboard, is the exact neck as the one on this offset.Same frets.

Jazzmaster-style guitars. What is the difference between the DLX OS30 and DLX OS40 models?
Dennis T
on Dec 11, 2020
BEST ANSWER: OS30- Rosewood fingerboard, basswood body, Strat style bridge and whammy bar. OS40- Maple fingerboard, alder body, Jazzmaster style bridge and whammy bar. Neither of these have the thumbwheel controls as found on the Jazzmaster. I own the OS30, and it definitely has some serious mojo- but I wish I had bought the OS40 instead, for the upgrades.

Besides the finish options and fingerboard wood, the main difference is the bridge. OS30 uses a strat type tremolo while the OS40 uses a more traditional for this kind of guitar tremolo. Hope that this helps.

Great guitar for the price.
I actually love this guitar. The looks, play-ability and sound are all great so what makes me drop one star? Three things, sharp fret ends. Common problem and not a big deal to correct but they are there. Neck pickup is tilted. True this is mostly aesthetic but not so easily corrected, Lastly only two spring on the tremolo. I don't use the trem so usually I just crank down the spring claw and that gives me a virtual hard tail. Now I need to come up with springs.
Those are the reasons for the 4 star rating but as I said right off the bat, I actually love this guitar and play it a lot.

Worth Every Dollar
I have played guitar for more than 35 years and cannot believe the quality of this guitar for the price point. It is astonishingly good quality. It rivals some of the $600+ guitars that own currently. Kudos to Monoprice. It actually like it so much that I bought a Cali Classic as well that arrived today.

Fun and stimulating to play. Buy it.
The pickups are great. The action is fantastic. The vintage vibe is right on. The trouble spots are the bridge and sharp fret edges. The bridge tears into your hand at the set screws. The best fix would be to replace the saddles.I have replaced half the set screws with allen bolts as a quick fix. The strings are 009 and nice quality. The setup was great. Frets needed polishing and fret board was dry. It is all worth the venture if you can afford the time and money. These are my favorite p90s.

Outstanding instrument!
I had no P90 offset in my collection so decided to take a chance on the OS30.
I could return it if I didn't like it, so why not? I considered the OS40 but I don't use tremolo and I don't know how to deck the JM style trem, if it's even possible.
No regrets with the OS30.
I received it well packed in the included and nicely padded gigbag inside a cardboard box. No damage whatsoever.
Immediately impressed with the antique white body, gloss neck and almost black fretboard with cream knobs and pickups, and tortoise pickguard.
I always put new strings on a new guitar so I took off the strings, cleaned and lubed the fretboard, lubed string contact points and, as I don't use tremolo, I decked the tremolo. Put on a set of 9's, and tuned it up.
The tuners are surprisingly good. I see no reason to replace them. The nut appears to be bone and is cut nicely.
Frets are of the classic fender type that are narrower but these are not tall. The ends are flattened and no sharp ends.
The neck appears to have a modern C shape with a 14" radius. The neck is very comfortable and easy to play on. No truss rod adjustment was needed. No high frets.
The bridge has bent steel saddles which I much prefer to the cast ones. Intonation was spot on except a slight tweak on the low E. Action was adjusted perfectly for my playing style out of the box. I can't speak to the tremolo operation as I don't use it.
Pots and switches function properly with a nice sweep on the pots and no excess noises from them or the switch.
The pickups are amazing. Played clean, they are super articulate and responsive to pick or finger attack and have sparkling highs and very clear lows and mids. They remain articulate and responsive as gain is added and can be pushed to an aggressive and very satisfying snarl. For high gain soloing, the neck pickup has a gorgeous creaminess, even in the lower registers and the bridge pickup screams! In a good way!
The offset and contoured body is very comfortable to play. Not a square edge to be found and it is nicely balanced.
I've been playing since 1967. I have guitars that are worth 20 times what I paid for this one but I like this one as well as any of them. The name on the headstock is irrelevant. If it plays well, is built well, and sounds good... it's a good guitar. This one is a keeper!

Better than a lot of more expensive guitars.
Spanky and bright P90's. Decent whammy bar/bridge. Came set up 95%, which is better than most guitars under 400 dollars including my Jazzmaster, which was over 400. Better tuners than my Jazzmaster too.
The only complaint is that the fret ends needed a tiny bit of dressing. Big deal.
I also have the Indio OS 20, and both are really nice guitars.
169.99? Do it now, I command you.

Extraordinary
Received this guitar yesterday. Quick two day shipping. It came in a very nice well padded gig bag. The guitar is flawless. It is a gorgeous guitar with some very cool cream color aged plastics. I run a recording studio in LA and have many guitars. I bought this for my daughter who wants to learn how to play. Frankly, I am stunned with the quality and sound of this instrument. I will be ordering another one for myself. Truly a steal.
Go steal one.
