BEST ANSWER: At full length, the strap can extend to 56in. Shortened, it measures 28in. and can be adjusted for any length in between.

Measuring the strap from button hole to button hole (that is, where the strap buttons would attach). It is adjustable from 30 inches to 55 inches. It should be adequate for most guitars, basses or ukuleles. It may not be long enough for Jumbo Body acoustics, like the J-200 or large bout Jazz guitars. It would not be long enough for square neck resonator guitars (for example, a Dobro) if you were attaching at the headstock and tailblock. I have found few straps that work in those applications.

I think it's a bit longer than 4 feet. I'm 5' 10" and adjusts fine. Great value for the price.

I purchased several straps and each strap also included a 15 inch black string in the package. What is the purpose of the 15 inch long black string??

BEST ANSWER: For use on acoustic guitars that don't have a strap button at the top of the body. You can tie that through the strap and around the headstock.

It's a Cheap Strap
I would say that the best use of this strap is that it's easy to adjust for your playing position so that you can use it as a template to set up a really good leather strap, which are harder to adjust.

No frills, does the job
This strap's synthetic leather ends fit tightly on the guitar strap buttons, which is good. Over time it may stretch/loosen, but so far it remains pretty robust.

Great quality and no animals die.
These are very well constructed straps. There is no nasty leather. So no animal death.
