Are the pickups noisy ?
A shopper
on Feb 15, 2021
My guitar has very quiet pickups. They sound great. The ash body looks and feels great. It has full size pots and really nice neck and finger board. I have several T type guitars and I play this one the most.

Yes, they are a bit noisy, like all single coil pickups. You need to use a gate and also do some shielding on the guitar cavity.

Mine produces no electrical hum or buzz. I play at low volume but there is no sign of microphonic pick ups.

No more noise than any other single coil I’ve played. Sounds really good after a setup.

What does "sixe" mean. I have never heard this term when describing a neck and I consider myself very knowledgable when it comes to this stuff.

It refers to the radius of the neck piece - which tells you if it is thick or thin, also the width of the neck. The profile may even not be circular, but more of a V shape.
The radius does not refer to the neck size. It refers to how round the fretboard is, not the entire neck. You can have a 12" radius thin-profile neck or a 12" radius "C" shaped neck or a 12" radius chunky neck, etc.

BEST ANSWER: Ceramic....and awesome. Alnico's aren't necessarily "better", just different.

Pickup magnets? Fret size? How is the radius? How many piece body/neck?
A shopper
on Sep 8, 2020
I would like to know the component differences, if any, between the classic, DLK and DLX plus. Do these have the same pickups? Bridge? Nut? Tuners? Fret materials? Pots? From the website, it looks like the only differences are body materials, and, in the case of the DLX Plus, professional set up. Thanks!

NOT as advertised
Same issues others have stated. The guitar sent was not string through. Whoever their "master luthier" is that sets these up needs to find a new job. The bridge saddles were set up completely wrong and intonation was horrible. They also filed the nut down too low. The 13th fret needed filed down as it was sitting higher than the rest.

As advertised very awesome looking guitar!
Arrived packed in its padded gig bag still the 3 way selector shaft was slightly bent. No biggie was easy to straighten out. A little better packing wouldn't hurt though. What a pretty guitar with all of the advertised Wilkenson components. The frets are smooth and appear to be level. Tune er up and will start with c blues riff!

Great Telecaster in Cherry Burst
This is a great guitar. FedEx did a ding job on it, but otherwise it is amazing. Great tone and feel. Action was a touch high, but truss rod adjustment took care of that. The feel and look is solid. Ash is heavy, so no surprise there. But still a great tone through my Fender Mustang LT25 practice amp. Would definitely buy again... just wish they had a UPS option rather than FedEx. (FedEx in my area is notorious for damaging packages.). I plan to keep it, ding and all, as it is nothing more than I probably would have done in my own small studio area.

Solid Value
Pros: Beautiful Ash body with a nicer sunburst than I expected.
Setup was decent out of box, needed Truss rod adjustment
No sharp frets
Decent pickups
Satin finish neck
Ships with good strings
Cons: Website depicts a string through body, this guitar did not have a string through body.
Very heavy.
Sound nice, plays nice, doesn't cost much at all.
Enjoying my new T-Style guitar from Monoprice

Not as Depicted
The Cherry Burst was shown as a string thru with steel saddles but came as a top loader with brass saddles. IT was also shown to have a tint on the neck and headstock but had none. Otherwise, was OK but very heavy.

Great value on nice guitar
I ordered this guitar because of the low price and positive reviews. Received the guitar fairly quickly.
Pros:
Well made with beautiful finishes
Nice upgraded hardware
Well setup on arrival
Fun to play
Sounds as a telecaster should
Cons:
Guitar pictured online was string through body, but guitar I received is not string though. I contacted Monoprice, and they apologized and offered full refund. Customer service experience was excellent.
I enjoyed playing the guitar, so I declined the refund and kept it. I would recommend this guitar to anyone looking for a nice playing guitar at a crazy low price.

Great guitar at an affordable price.
I have just started playing guitar again after 50 years in order to be able to play together with my grandson. This guitar is really nice for the price. Everything about it is great. No problem fret ends or any ather issues you'd expect from a guitar at this price. My first one came thru with a defective switch. Monoprice customer service was awesome. They emailed me an RMA to return it and sent me a replacement very quickly. I love their products and customer service.

A thing of beauty!
Got this a couple hours ago and am totally smitten. It's gorgeous (I got the cherry burst finish.) Setup was spot on, all I had to do was tune it up. I have other Indio's that I had to do some tweaking and at the price point it's to be expected but this little beauty arrived ready to rumble.
Cosmetically it's stunning. The cherry burst finish on the ash body is very, very nice. It shows the natural wood grain beautifully. The transition from the hard red around the edges isn't quite as subtle as the pics on the web site but it's still a beauty and maybe that's just the one I got.
Sound wise the bridge pickup is gnarly classic tele and the neck pickup is smooth as butter. It's everything I had hoped for and more. I can't imagine getting a nicer T style guitar for anywhere near the price.

Worth every penny and then some.
Great guitar. Better than an Affinity. The tuners are the "worst" point, not great for a guitar of this level.
Otherwise, faaaantaatic.

A wonderful platform, I prefer to mod!
It is definitely a solidly built guitar and built well, to a degree much higher than its price. I took a star off the rating due to the pickups. I also own the Cali DLX and it?s pickups sound much smoother and nicer, more unique, than the Tele pickups of the same model. The tone left me a little uninspired. I also would upgrade some of the hardware - like brass bridge saddles, better tuners.
The two-piece ash body is beautiful and the finish is lovely. Like all Indio guitars, the biggest kudos go to the satin finish neck?and in the case of Cherry Burst, it has an aged finish to the neck as well. I recommend this guitar for its price?and consider upgrading the hardware and electronics for a spectacular guitar that would rival the name brands for a fraction of the cost.
