It is a short scale, 30 inches from the nut to the end of the bridge. By "end" I mean where the string ferrules and the head of the screws that adjust intonation are located (farther from the neck).

Seriously, what is the scale length? This is a really basic piece of information about a stringed instrument that you really should know if you are going to sell musical instruments! (It's the distance between the nut and the 12th fret times 2. On a standard bass it's usually 34 inches. On a short scale bass, it might be 30", or might be something completely different.)

Fantastic!!!
This is the coolest bass I have ever owned. I was going to get an Ibanez TMB30 with 30" scale, but when I found out this was like an inch longer than a strat with 28.6" scale, I was sold. VERY cool smaller J bass.

Fretwork needed - Nice Value Needs a serious setup
Great price on a very light short scale. Slight gap in the neck joint and neck.
I had to level the frets (3 were quite high) the third fret was way too high. So I had to level and crown most of them to get them right. Also the fret ends were sharp and needed fret end filing so the bass (for my kid) can be played comfortably. Polishing all the frets took some serious elbow grease.
Also, there was much too much relief and I had to turn the truss about 3/4 of a turn to get it into proper territory.
The saddles intonated with a lot of work, but the low E was a bear and I had to use almost the farthest back possible location.
Got the frets dialed, relief set, and the action at a nice low easy to play height without buzz. After all the filing, polishing, intonation and set up of about 3 hours the bass plays well.
The pickups were a little high so I lowered them. Also the ceramic pickups are a bit bright, but will produce nice tones. For $100 buck and a bit of elbow grease you can get a great value lightweight short scale bass that plays well.
It is a nice looking instrument to boot. Classic mini J.
Only reason it doesn't get 5 is how much work I had to put into it to get it playing smooth and intonated.

Very nice, affordable short scale bass
This little guy is quite impressive. I paid around 100 dollars for this bass during a holiday promotion. The overall finish is good. Some work was needed besides the typical setup you are supposed to do with any new instrument. The pickups were way too high, nothing you could correct only adjusting the screws. The height foam was carelessly positioned. I went to the cavities and removed some paint. I had to adjust the size of one cavity as well. It was a little too narrow for the semi-circle where the screw passes through the plastic for the Neck pickup. Everything easily accomplished with a rotary tool. The neck/body joint isn't perfect but it is more aesthetical than something impairing its function. The neck is pretty straight and I had no problems lowering action and adjusting intonation whatsoever. Some fret edges required a little sanding. The alignments between the pickguard/control plate and strings/pickups are far from perfect. The pickups are kinda hot and the tone is really good. I still haven't changed the strings but I can only imagine it will get better with a nickel set. The neck isn't thick but it is also not super thin. Still, it is lightweight and a lot of o fun to play. While deciding for this purchase I missed a more detailed description at the manufacturer's website. Scale (nut to end of bridge): 30in, whole length: 39in, body width: 10-12, Nut width: 1.5in, Neck width (@3rd fret): 1.75in, Neck width (@20th fret): 2.5in, Weight: 7.27lb, fingerboard radius: ??? The soft case is good but it had a strong smell of imported fabric, treated for overseas shipping. I had to wash it with a damp cloth and leave outside for a couple of days until the smell faded out. After ordering it only took three days to get to my place. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the product.

nice... after some setup plays like a guitar
Spent some time looking for a short scale bass then chanced upon an ad for this one. After thinking about it and comparing to what was available to me (extra $100) I decided it should be worth buying. It was Packaged well enough to survive International shipping inside the cardboard box inside Nice gig bag with backpack straps inside a foam bag. Bass was set up too low had buzz so had to raise the action via truss adjustment and also raised the E string saddle just to my liking. Plays nice now much like a guitar which is quite awesome. Neck pup is hotter than bridge which is also hot... with Volume pots down low the tone controls the sound nice and fat. Cool had a lot of fun until my thumb began to burn from a few sharp fret edges. Bottom line - after a bit of setup this bass rocks and is fun to play with Nice Fat Tone and some Rich High Harmonics. :)
