The gig bag has shoulder straps that are sewn in. They do not clip on. The length of the inside of the bag is approx. 40 inches. All in all, it's a nice well-padded bag that doesn't smell funky. It seems sturdy. My only concern is the zipper (although I haven't experienced any issues with it yet). This model has depth, so it's actually like a little padded case and less like a traditional gig bag.
The gig bag case has good padding and appears to be heavy duty. A good value for the price as I’ve seen some much more flimsy gig bags for more $. I’ve been happy with this and other Monoprice musical items I’ve purchased in the past. They’ve Always been a good value for the price paid.
This bag came with my Indio electric guitar. It was good enough that I decided to order a second one for my Fender. It has adequate protection for around the house or reasonable transportation. I would have given 5 stars but there is a small 3/4 inch cut in the outer material at the headstock end. Everything else is fine. I expect to order one for my acoustic if they have the right size. Can't beat the price.
I have purchased several after-market bags for other guitars, but this one seems to fit both my Tele & Strat guitars with very little flopping around. Padding seems to be up to the job for the stress and strain I put on my guitars.
I should say I am NOT a big fan of gig bags that look like cargo shorts and I personally favor the more streamline and minimilast approach of this bag with a single pocket.
