Can you adjust the angle of how the guitar displays....say horizontal on a clock is at the 3...can you tip the angle up to 2? Slightly up from horizontal (as when holding/playing a guitar)?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, you can. You need to loosen the nut slightly, and then rotate the inter-locking wheels to the desired position. Don't forget to re-tighten the nut.

Yes you can. I have bought several of them and have them all in my walls in different configurations. The 2 o'clock configuration is the easiest

The foam of some hangers will react with the nitrocellulose finishes of Gibsons. Is this one safe for nitro finishes?

BEST ANSWER: Not sure I would risk the Gibby in this one. I have a poly Steinberger in it. Get a hercules or the monoprice headstock hanger to be sure.
You are probably ok, but there is a lot of foam contact around the body of your Gibby if it does react with the nitro.
The hanger is perfect for my polyurethane covered headless.

Hmmmmmm, I’m using 4 of these hangers at the moment to hold a Jackson, Spector, Fender and a Korg Keytar.........my other guitars, including Gibson, are hung vertically from the headstocks. So far I haven’t noticed anything going awry with the instruments mentioned, but I don’t know if they use the same finish as the Gibsons!

will this work on an angled wall.? I'd say my walls are angled about 45° angle. If I mount the rack on those slanted walls, can I adjust the supports for the base of the guitar somehow so that it sits properly without falling over to the floor? lol

BEST ANSWER: Since the main shaft of the mount are square there is no way to tilt your angle. I would say no with out using a shim on the wall to make a 90° angle to the floor.

What is the overall depth of the mount from the wall to the tips? I don't want anyone walking by to bump it. Thanks!

Damaged one of my favorite guitars.
The holder itself is okay, if sloppily welded together. The flimsy, tiny screws are not capable of holding the weight of an electric guitar reliably, even when used with the included wall anchors. The whole contraption came crashing down, destroying my guitar's end pin in the fall. Before that catastrophe, I was already plenty annoyed by the fact that it is not possible to secure the angle with the Allan screw. The srew can not tightened enough to prevent the arm from still being turned by the guitar's weight. Horrible design. I should have known that you get what you pay for.

Nice Mount, but not swivel serrated for locking purposes.
Mounts easily, holds and displays instruments well. The swivel tends to move even after torqueing the retainer screw. All in all a nice item.

This product seems sturdy enough and built well enough to display my guitars in a fine fashion!
Came promptly and was painless to install. The guitars look good hanging in playing position too!
