Does this have a "nitrocellulose" finish?
I ask bc I want to use the Monoprice Classic Guitar Stand (Product # 602100) but that product states, "Note that the rubber tubing will interact with the chemicals in a nitrocellulose finish and can ruin the finish where it comes in contact with the rubber. Never allow a guitar with a nitrocellulose finish to come into contact with rubber tubing." Thanks!

Stage Right by Monoprice Classic Tripod Stand for Electric and Acoustic Guitars
Idyllwild by Monoprice Natural 3/4 Classical Nylon-string Guitar with Gig Bag
BEST ANSWER: Nitro finishes are almost exclusive to vintage guitars or more expensive guitars going for a "vintage" vibe. Almost all modern guitars including all of our Indio and Idyllwild acoustics and electrics use a polyurethane finish. The rubber tubing of the stand will not effect the finish of the guitar.

so, it's a $50 guitar... or just remove the rubber and wrap with tape.

I have the guitar but I just keep it in the bag. I would wrap the rubber with cloth if your not sure of the finish. Enter

Do you sell replacement parts? Specifically I'm looking for the bottom yoke.
Thanks in advance.

How can I modify this to use with my vintage guitar? I don't want to damage the finish.

Commodity guitar stands
I have these from various dealers and the ones from Monoprice are better-finished than the others and a better price, too.
Having said that, think hard before you spend money on these fussy, irritating stands no matter from whom you might get 'em. They fall apart, are hard to pack or carry, are awkward to set up and almost guaranteed you'll lose one or two of the bottom cradles if you ever move from one place to another.
I recommend the simple, fold-out A-frame stands. They're stable, compact, and don't come apart... not like these fussy damn things. Respect yourself more than I did when I thoughtlessly bought a few just because CHEAP.
Still... they _are_ cheap, so... yeah.

Better than expected
It's fine. It's made of light steel tubing painted black. I wouldn't call it heavy duty but if you're just using it at home it does the job. I use it for my Squier Jazz bass, which has an asymmetrical body which the body support prongs accommodate by rotating. Not compact or pretty, but worth the price if your on a budget.

Sturdy product at a great price
Although no instructions were provided, it was simple to put together after looking at the pictures online.

Good light weight stand
I bought this for office/music room use. It works well for this environment. It's not heavy duty enough for playing out. At this price that's an unreasonable expectation.

Good for the price
It?s adequate. Wish it was better quality but for the price I can?t complain. Holds my guitar very well, don?t think I could do better functionally, durability is another matter.
