I think 5/8" but you can purchase Monoprice Screw Thread Adapter for Microphone Stand (5/8in Male to 3/8in Female) and you're all set. Cost you 75 cents!

The clip is the standard size used on mic stands. It is not the small size that requires a reducer.

Does this Microphone require 48volts to work? Or can it run into an android phone (with the correct adaptors of course) without the phantom power?

Dynamic mics do not require phantom power. However there will be an impedance mismatch with phone. You need a high impedance mic- or an adapter from low Z to high Z.

This is not a condenser microphone and does not require phantom power. It should work as long as you have some sort of XLR adapter to one of the ports on your Android device.

No phantom needed, as it is not a condenser mic

Does this mic require a windscreen to eliminate plosives?

BEST ANSWER: This mic is very close to the Shure SM58. On either mic the windscreen helps to eliminate plosives.

Have trained our people to speak/speak over so we usually have no issues. But this is an expensive mic with lower sensitivity than a 58 so should not be a problem. Very worth the $$$

It's just like any other mic in this category. I'd say the answer is the same as if you were using an SM58.

@"New User U", the dynamic mic probably has a frequency response of about 60 Hz to 15 kHz and this condenser mic probably has FR of about 50 Hz to 18 kHz. Those are typical FR for these types of mics.
There is no way the dynamic vocal mic goes down to 20 Hz unless it is some wakky unusual mic. I would not trust Dave Audio's seemingly outlandish claim, even though he apparently is "Monoprice Staff", unless he backs up his claim with a certified graph from a calibration lab. 20 Hz is extremely rare for inexpensive dynamic mics. "Vocal" mics of any kind (condensers included) rarely go below about 50 Hz -- and this is intentional. Generally, you do *NOT* want a vocal mic that goes all the way down to 20 Hz, or else you will have a lot of problems (breath pops, handling noise, stage rumble, etc.). Additionally, dynamic vocal mics are normally used with a high-pass filter around the ballpark of 120 Hz due to proximity effect. Hope this helps.

Lack of design.
Its an ok microphone, it just lack of design. There are no On and Off switch, and you really needs to put your mouth almost against the mic so it captures your voice. I rather pay a bit more and get something better.

Solid Microphone at a Great Price
I have been using the Large Diaphragm Condenser Mic that Monoprice used to sell and was looking for something that did not need power. I have been recording more music than ever during these COVID-19 times and this microphone has been wonderful. No need for phantom power and the sound is very clean.
The built-in pop filter does not seem to be the best though, so be careful with your placement and try to have it more off-center. Maybe one of those cheap windscreen covers might help, but I have not tried using one. As a result, I sometimes get those pops and spikes from singing or speaking words that start with letters like "B", "F", or "P".
I plug this into an old Focusrite Saffire Pro interface and Garageband as my DAW.

Incredible Microphone at an unbeatable price
I use this mic for a livestreamed talk show, a podcast, video chats, and some scratch vocal recording. If you have a home studio, this is such a brilliant dynamic mic. I would recommend getting a wind filter to put over the top, though, as the popping is very extreme without it, but once you have that, it's great. I haven't used many mics that are so clear, and you can beat the price.

Great Microphone, Great Price
These sound great, and they don't feedback very often. I like these better than most, if not all of my more expensive microphones. I love these microphones. They are also well made and sturdy.

Sound guy approved!
Ive been a professional live engineer for 15 years. I wouldnt use this on tour as a primary vocal mic, but it works just fine as an sm58 backup/replacrement! I like to use it for Music Director talkback mics, as FOH talkback, and for uses in smaller venues and churches. (not because of inferior sound quality, rather it is not as "durable" as the sm58).

Mic review
We tried it out in the studio along with higher end Mic's. We found no difference in the performance. For the price I highly recommend it !
