If placed on one side will it face up at an angle, for use as a stage monitor/wedge? (The angled corners suggest possibly not, or an illusion).

BEST ANSWER: it does sit at an angle. I have not yet used them as monitors. I did set mine on the floor to see how it would work. It seems ok. It might require a wedge to help keep it at an angle. I’m sure some cardboard and tape would make a nice prop. They are very light. Good for transport but, The weight might have helped keep it tipped at the angle. They do look very similar to the 10” alto. That I have seen used as floor monitors. I wish my answer was better.
However, my opinion, for the price point and sound quality I think it would work with a bit of stage engineering. My wife and I lead a worship team for a church and I’m now considering using them as monitors.

Some added info concerning your question... The speaker does not have any 'feet' on either side. It's very likely putting the speaker on its side would mar it quickly. I would suggest putting some black, self-adhesive rubber or felt material to not only protect the cab's finish but also reduce resonating vibrations from placing the unprotected side of the speaker on a hard surface.

Yes, the SRD210 will lie on its side, with the front angled up like a stage monitor. ( I have a photo, but sadly there’s no way to upload it as part of my answer.) I haven’t used it this way, but I might in the future if the need arises. I don’t think the speaker is designed to be used in this way, but it works ok.

It will face upwards about 10°. i.e., the angle between the side/base it would rest on and the front face is about 80°, so the face of the speaker and driver axis will be angled about 10° elevated from vertical.

This is exactly how I'm using this powered speaker - as a stage monitor set on the long edge at an angle so it's tilted up at the singer. Works great for this application!

Could I connect an electronic drum set to this?

BEST ANSWER: Sure. The input accepts 1/4" or XLR. If you plan on using in a live setting as a stand-alone speaker, you might consider using the 12" version for the increased bass response.

Is there any documentation about the DSP settings? What is "Normal, DJ, Voice, Live, Flat" mean? And is one of them a high pass filter for pairing with a separate powered subwoofer?

BEST ANSWER: If you're linking a powered sub to the speaker, the crossover is usually within the subwoofer which gives you the option to select a frequency range for the split.

Could you buy two and use them in stereo for a movie outdoors? What soft wear would put them in stereo?
A shopper
on Sep 26, 2021
BEST ANSWER: Your best bet for using them for this scenario would be to buy the stereo direct box (#600122), connect your audio source to it, and then run a mic cable to each of the two speakers. It will give you stereo sound and will let you run as long a cable as needed without adding noise, up to hundreds of feet.

Pretty good for the price, but the amp is not good quality
I use these as stage monitors for my band. Initially, the plan was to use them as main PA speakers for small gigs, but the quality of the built-in amp is not good enough for that. High frequencies start clipping pretty quickly as you increase the volume, and bass response is lacking - even considering realistic expectations for a 10" PA speaker. They do work fine as stage monitors in "Voice" setting and at low-to-mid volume. Given that the purchase price was comparable to what you have to pay for unpowered stage monitors, I can't complain too much.

Quality Control....not so good.
I bought 3 of these units for front of stage monitors. They performed perfectly for almost 30 hours until one unit failed. It actually failed in a plume of smoke and the smell of an electrical fire right in the middle of a performance. My only other complaint is the bluetooth radio is so weak that you have to leave the bt phone on the bt speaker itself for it to work without pauses in the audio. This defeats the purpose of wireless audio if the device range is so short. In my case, I just used a higher quality bluetooth receiver through the P.A. itself. Problem solved but again, the wireless bluetooth feature is nearly unusable on these speakers due to their weak signal strength. All three monitors, I purchased, had weak bluetooth radios.

Great small powered PA speaker
I am a guitar player that uses a modeler direct to PA when playing live. I use this to tweak my tone and levels at home to ensure a good consistent sound when playing live through our bigger PA. It is loud enough to use as a monitor, and I raise it off the floor to avoid the "ground effect" that will make it sound boomy.

Wow. These are better than I anticipated.
I approached buying these with trepidation, I mean come on, at that price, its got to be garbage right? Well surprisingly, its pretty good. As in, small receptions, backyard bbq or small breakout room with spoken word good. Is it for live music? not really in my opinion. Its very clear when it runs out of gas and then sounds not so great. this isnt a QSC even if its styled similarly. The bluetooth works, the amp module works. The front is actually better than I thought it would be. The cab itself is molded plastic, I wouldnt drop it too much but it seems sturdy enough. For the price, these would pay for themselves quite quickly. I'd say these sound better than a Mackie Thump, the real corner cutting being the horn itself. With better horns they would sound really pretty good. But hey, for this price, its impressive how they sound. Add a sub and you have a full range system.

Stopped working after one month.
The electronics dont seem to be of a great quality, I am suspecting one of the large power capacitors to be the issue. When it worked it was OK - I used it as a monitor for guitar multi-effects pedal. It does color the sound. I can see people using it for loud music but not for fidelity necessarily. Either way its not worth it if it doesnt work. Guitar center or Sam ash constantly has sales on their house brand thats very comparable or slightly more expensive.
Now the return process, mono price promptly gave me an RMA number but wanted to replace it(No option for just return). But they were out of stock - which they informed me and stopped responding. Not good. Eventually opened a dispute and got it resolved that way.

Picked this up on sale for only $100. Using it for smaller gigs as I also own a pair of the 15 inch Stage Right PA speakers. Surprised how loud and clean these sound and love the lighter weight.

Decent unit especially if you catch it on sale
The amp is the weakpoint here -- it is noisy and just bad. But the drivers are ok for the price. The box is thin and resonant and one of the two units I ordered arrived damage -- one hard drop had broken the corner and it was obvious how thin and brittle the plastic is. These are NOT heavy-duty units for serious pro use.
That said, if you like fixing up speakers this is a good platform for that. The tweeter is your typical 1" exit screw-in driver and is easily replaced. Beware that you can't add a huge comrpession driver due to the available space in the box. I dropped in a Celestion CDX1-1731 and there was a fraction of an inch left over in terms of width. Depth of the tweeter is not really an issue unless you use something exotic with a huge mounting depth.
Woofer bolt circle diameter is 9.75 and you have space for a woofer of 10.25 inches and not a millimeter more . I juuuuuust barely got an Eminence Deltalite 2510 to fit in here, and yes the amp fit back into the cavity even with the larger eminence driver in place.
I used Noico Car Sound deading mats inside the kill the cabinet resonance and added Sonic Barrier 1" Acoustic Sound Damping Foam instead of the polyfill that ships with the cabinet
Got mine on sale for $100 and I am happy with the purchase at that price.
Pros: Good price, foam behind grill for better appearance and driver protection, smart choice of inputs on the amp.
Cons: Woodscrews into plastic, no threaded inserts. Long-term reliability of these fasteners is in doubt. Flimsy box. Noisy amp. No stereo bluetooth pairing if you buy 2 units. Doesn't sit in correct position to use as a stage monitor.

Happy with my purchase and would recommend...
Having this for only a few weeks now I can't speak to any longevity, but this speaker lives on a speaker tripod in the corner of my music room where movement will likely be non-existent.
Its main use is as a filler/monitor in a room dedicated to singing in support of two 12" mains and replaces an 8" speaker with all the same features as the Stage Right. For my purposes, which are high because there are professional voices using this system, it sounds just fine and is a big improvement over the 8" speaker and I'm not talking loudness, I'm speaking about fidelity. As others have mentioned the DSP does not provide any considerable difference in any of its settings, although "DJ" seems to add a small amount more Bass.
All forms of inputs that I've tried... SD card, Thumb drive, Bluetooth, and XLR all worked fine. I did not try the RCA connections or the AUX. On the Bluetooth, I have to be fairly close (within 4-5 feet) in order to have a connection but when connected I have not had any dropouts, while close to the unit. From what I can see or tell the build quality is on par with the QSC, Yamaha, Alto, And Electro-Voice speakers that others in our circle of friends use/have. In the end, I am happy with my purchase as it is a nice upgrade in build quality, fidelity-wise, and appearance over the speaker it replaced.

So far, all good!
I can't believe the price. I hope they continue to work, but at this price, I kind of don't care. I might buy some backups in case these fail. Anyway, I used them at a handful of gigs now and they work great. No issues. I have one gripe. As monitors, they don't tilt back far enough. They need to redesign the cabinet a bit for this somewhat obvious and annoying shortcoming. But whatever. No biggie. I'm gonna buy two more.
