Is there a way to connect two of the 15" models together to use with a microphone? Don't need it to be stereo, but would like to be able to plug a mike into one and then connect that to another one on the other side of the stage area for better coverage. Maybe there is a better way to connect one mike to two speakers for P/A type use?

BEST ANSWER: Yes. You can either use a mixer, or as I assume you are asking, can you plug a mic directly into the speaker and not use a mixer. Yes you can. The speaker you plug the mic into has an output on it. It’s labeled “mix out”. You plug a cable into the mix out and plug it into the 2nd speaker. That will chain the speakers together. So run a cable from the “mix out” and plug it into the input of speaker 2. I don’t know how much control you will have but that’s the way I would try it without a mixer. Good luck. I hope this helps.

I haven't tried it, but it looks like you can plug the Mix Out of one Speaker to Line A or Line B Inputs of the other speaker. I would be very surprised if this does not work. If this does not work, you can buy this direct box, which should work for you. https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=600125

You should be able to use XLR mix output and connect to line input on second PA speaker. You'll need an XLR to RCA of XLR to Phono plug cable. You could also use an external mixer with mic input and with seperate outputs to each PA speaker.

Not entirely sure, but I would recommend obtaining a small mixer and then running the mic into that and then having two 1/4" or XLR cables for each speaker. This allows you to control everything from a central mixer.

I have not experienced this issue. I run my speaker to a Zoom Livetrak-8 mixer/recorder through an XLR or 1/4" jack. The sound is generally good though I would like a separate subwoofer.

If wireless mic receiver has RCA outputs that should work fine. Speaker has adjustable input gain to match variations in rca levels.

is this gonna be loud enough for vocals only for a jam space for a pretty loud rock band? (think 2 100w half stacks and a 300w 1970s ampeg svt)

BEST ANSWER: These speakers are really loud. I don't think hearing the vocals will a problem. That being said, the Monoprice SRD212 is equalized better out of the box then the SRD215. It's not as loud though. The SRD212 is fairly loud though. In short, use an equalizer if you are going to go with the SRD215. Also, if you want loud vocals without feedback, buy a good Compressor to use for your vocals. This is true no matter what speakers you buy. I have the SRD212 and SRD215 Speakers and I am happy with both of them.

BEST ANSWER: Get a small DJ mixer. Even a 2 channel battle mixer would work. But if you are going to DJ get a DJ mixer so you have all the controls you need, the cross fader so you can scratch or mix the two tables together, you can cue the music and use headphones to hear what’s goin on, but don’t try to bypass a critical piece of equipment you would need. Even a regular Passive pA mixer would hold you over if you have the preamps. But you can find DJ mixers anywhere if other sites that list or wow wd stuff one that offers stuff and another one that Craig runs and you can get stuff these would suit your needs just fine. The mixers on these speakers are t mixers that can be used for everything. They are a convenient feature that may work for some situations but not all. Good luck.

You would just plug a speaker cable into the output of your receiver or head unit that your turntable is plugged into and run it into the input on the back of the speaker. So probably an RCA output to RCA input on the speaker. The speaker has RCA input or combo Jack input, so it can take either RCA or XLR or 1/4" input.
You'll want an RCA to RCA cable (the one that has a red tip and a white tip just like your home stereo probably uses. Couldn't be easier!

Is this speaker good for Karaoke ?
Thanh Vu P
on Apr 5, 2022
BEST ANSWER: They would work good for karaoke. If you want effects on your voic you will need some type of effects u it / processor. So if you want reverb or delay (echo) you would be better buying a karaoke mixer with those effects built in, or buying a PASystem mixer and a separate effects unit you can plug into the mixer board. Easy way is to buy a karaoke DJ mixer or even the mixer monoprice offers. It has some effects built in. I hope this helped you. The quality of the speakers are actually very good for the price point. Enjoy!

What do the different DSP modes do and sound like?
Elliott W
on Jun 1, 2021
BEST ANSWER: To me, a novice in audio, changing the different modes is like adjusting the equalizer. The "DJ" mode seems to have more bass, and the "Jazz" mode has a brighter tone. They are not so different though. The differences are subtle, my opinion. I love how crisp the speakers are. For a 15" speaker, I would like more bass/low end. I make up for the bass with my subwoofer system. When that is used, I can shake the room!

Would the 15 inch version be overkill as a guitar monitor? I’m looking to use this unit as a monitor/FRFR with an Headrush MX-5 multi pedal with IR’s. I’ve always used cabs with 12 inch drivers with tube amps so perhaps that’s best but I think the specs are a bit better on the 15 inch version.

Hood speakers that could be great with some additions.
Decent Speakers. I bought these as a backup to a major name brand speakers that I use as my mains. I do a lot of work as a mobile DJ. This weekend I had a medium sized gig that was outdoors. I decided to go Snead and take these and give them a run. I had a 2.5 hr show and it was about 88 degrees out with high humidity. The speakers surprised me in a pleasant way. First they look great, they look like they cost a lot more than they did. The power was actually surprisingly good. I did not run a sub at this gig as I assumed the 15?s would eliminate my need for a sub. The speakers operated great for the 2.5hrs and I had no problems with them overheating, clipping or cutting out. Sound was clear and was excellent. Highs were nice, Miss were good and the bass, well it was lacking a bit. However I feel I could?ve remedied that with a graphic EQ. I just ran straight from my controller to the speakers so all I had for sound shaping was the high, mid, lows knobs on my Denon 7000 controller. I run a MacBook Pro into that. I also use all monoprice xlr cables and I invested in the nicer ones. I run all monoprice cables in all my rigs for DJ, sound and drumming (mics) and I love them. They have been excellent. Back to the speakers. They had more volume than I thought they would, the sound was clear and nice, pleasant and not harsh and the bass, even though it wasn?t as good as I hoped, I still think a 15band or 31 band eq would fix that along with a sonic maximizer. I would?ve liked to have had more tone control built into the speaker besides the built in DSP knob. At least a setting for Highs and lows like most major brands have in addition to the DSP. For the $220 price tag I will take them and gladly use them anytime. They look modern and professional. They are heavier than I thought they would be which means either the amp and mounting plate is heavy, or the magnet on the woofer is beefy or both. I would feel confident running these for a longer gig, using them for a PA for my band or using as a monitor for my drums. I have EQs and Sonic Maximizers I will try those next and update. If you are on a budget, these speakers are great. If you want EV or QSC sound, there?s a reason why those speakers are priced higher. Monoprice did great with these. Another Stage Right product that I am happy to own and use and proud to use. They really look top notch and perform better than any ?budget? speaker out there like Behringer or Alto. Stage Right 15? speakers I give you 4 stars. One star off for no time shaping besides the preset DSP settings. Enjoy

Well-made, but not as loud as expected
These speakers are large, heavy (around 40 pounds) and appear to have decent controls and connections. I was a little disappointed that they weren't as loud as I had expected for something advertised at 1400W, (although if you look further into the specs, it is actually only 350 Watts continuous. Still, I had thought that it would be louder. In spite of that, it's good for my use, and a good deal for the price.

Great speaker at a GREAT price with good performance features!!!!
I couldn?t be happier!! I ran this speaker this past weekend at a large event in Manhattan Beach Ca and I ran 4 of them?.I got each speaker for around $250?this four speakers at Peak 1400 Watts totally of Peak Power output of 5,6000 for $1K is unheard of. I was running each speaker at it?s max and I can?t tell you how amazed I was at their clarity?even when peaking! I do NOT think you can find a better speaker at this price and would recommend such to anyone! Sure, it?s not going to give you QSC quality ($1500 more per speaker) in return however these speakers do NOT sound like a low-priced speaker?.like a Harbinger, Alto or other low-end speakers.
