Is the base of the stand a completely flat piece of metal? I want to put the monitor on the stand and tuck the PC in behind. THe PC will be standing on the base. Will it sit properly? Thanks.

BEST ANSWER: It is quite flat, but not 2-dimentional. The flat legs need probably 1/4" of clearance for the computer sitting on them. If the feet on the computer are that high/thick, then you should be good to go.

It seems to me that you could spin the mounting bracket 180 so that the base faces backward and YES then you can set a pc onto the base to counterbalance the weight of your monitor. But , as shown in the catalog photo(and I just looked at my own set-up) there is very little offset between the post and the base when the stand is in the normal position meaning you can just place a pc behind the stand without issue, provided your desk depth from a wall is adequate. Our stand is on my wife's desk and she prefers to have the monitor a little closer to her eyes resulting in plenty of room behind the stand for a full size pc. I hope this was helpful to you.

The base is flat, but I don't believe you will be able to fit the PC between the monitor and the pole. Depending how tall the PC is, there is only between 2 and 3 inches of depth between the monitor and the pole. If you slide the monitor all the way to the top, there is less than 12 inches below the monitor. I hope this helps.

I can't say for certain if it will work because I'm not sure how you'd be using it. What I can say is the the base of this mount is a flat piece of metal that's maybe 1/8" thick, so I think it will work for you as I understand things.

It is a completely flat piece of metal. as for it sitting properly, depends on your pc I guess. You'ld have to try it to know for sure. it's a big stable base for a monitor either way.

Yep. As I recall there's a little bump that goes up into the vertical pole to allow a recess for the bolt that holds the two together but everything you see is dead flat

Yes, the base is completely flat. If the PC is heavy enough to keep the monitor from tipping over, you could do that. Otherwise it will be unstable.

Does this stand work with flat screen acer models?

Check the monitor specs for a VESA-standard set of screw-holes for mounting. Most have them, but not all. Also note this stand is not recommended for larger than 23" monitor.

will this work on a HP LV2311 monitor?
New User U
on May 23, 2019
BEST ANSWER: According to the HP website, the HP LV2311 has a 75mm x 75mm VESA mount pattern on the back, which means it should work with this stand. You should verify the spacing the mounting holes on the monitor yourself. If they are either 75mm or 100mm apart, you're good to go.

While I am unfamiliar with that particular model, the stand is quite stable for the 23/24” screens we are using. Ball joint adjustment requires tools, and stand would seem to work best for setups which require infrequentl adjustment

Does this model work with acer monitors?
New User U
on Apr 19, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It really depends on the specific monitor. Does your monitor have a 75mm or 100mm VESA mount bolt pattern? If so, you're in luck. But some computer monitors don't have VESA mount receptacles at all. It's really easy to figure this one out. Just look on the back of your monitor and see if there are four holes that will accept bolts, spaced either 75mm or 100mm horizontally or vertically. If so, you're good to go.

Maybe try reading the User Guide and/or Spec sheet and see if your monitor is compatible. Fits monitors with VESA® 75x75 and 100x100 mounting patterns. Some ACER monitors will be compatible and some won't.

BEST ANSWER: If I'm understanding your question correctly...Yes this can free stand on the top of a flat surface such as a desk. I purchased two of these for monitors we no longer have the bases for and they work well. I will say the mount is large and for anything 21" and under the mount looks a little out of place as it sticks above the monitor quite a bit. However, that being said...It is very sturdy and heavy.

The Adjustable Tilting SINGLE Desk Mount Bracket for LCD LED monitor is a free standing unit, there are no provisions made for permanently attaching this unit to the surface of a table or desk and is not necessary to do so, the large boomerang shaped base of the unit is more than adequate for supporting a large monitor.

will this work on a HP LV2311 monitor?
A shopper
on May 23, 2019
BEST ANSWER: You can answer this question for yourself. From the product information for this mounting bracket, we see that it "Fits monitors with VESA® 75x75 and 100x100 mounting patterns." From the product specifications on HP's website for the LV2311 monitor, we see "VESA external mounting Yes (one set of standard 4-hole pattern, 75 mm)."
Therefore, this should fit. I have the stand and it does have the standard sized holes and appropriate mounting screws. In the worst case scenario, you may have to find alternative screws of the appropriate threading and length for your monitor, but usually those included will do the job.

Can you freely move the display from side to side once attached, or is it tightened down?

BEST ANSWER: Hi, the vertical pole is 17.7 inches tall and would allow the center of the monitor to be set at around 17 inches from the desktop. That should provide you with enough clearance for the bottom half of the monitor in portrait mode to fit, but it might limit your range for height adjustment compared to when this mount is used in landscape mode. You can check out the linked "Dimensions Diagram" on the product description page for more details. Hope this helps.

Will this support the monoprice MP 35" 31005 monitor?
New User U
on Mar 23, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi, this could work given the 100 x 100 VESA mounting pattern, the 18.6 lb monitor weight is within the 33lb rating, and the 14.9" monitor height fits within the stand's height. However this stand was actually originally designed for smaller monitors, so the stand base itself is not as wide as the monitor at 22.3" at the widest point and so might not be as stable if there is force applied to the edges of the monitor. Also you might have limited height adjustment range for bringing the monitor higher. If you need more height or edge stability, you could also check out PID 34078. It is edge-clamp mounted but it should provide more height range and stability. Hope this helps. Thanks.

Very happy with this thing. Using it for a 35" monitor and it handles it well. I couldn't find this information, but the base is just under 10.75 inches from back to front, in case that helps somebody.

Sturdy, very good quality
The stand and all parts on it are high quality. Bought this to replace a flimsy yet more expensive one from Amazon. No more wobbly, very satisfied so far. Only caveat is that it is a little tricky to get the ball joint to hold in position for a 34" inch monitor (~16 lbs).

Very solid and stable and good range of motion
Stand is very solid and easy to set up. It has a much wider degree of available tilt than many competing products. Well worth the price.

Large base, holds monitor well
The base is larger than I anticipated (maybe I should've read the product info more closely) and the Allen screws needed to be very tight before it would hold my monitor up.
But it does what I need it to! It holds the monitor to eye level and can adjust/rotate.

Pretty good but, would be better with a knob
The stand is nice and sturdy and mounted easily to the monitor. The one thing I wish it had is a knob to tighten the height adjustment. Right now if I want to change the height I need to loosen a screw with an Allen wrench. If they had put a knob on the end of that screw instead it would be much easier to make adjustments.

Recommended
This stand works very well. It is well made and performs as expected. Regarding some of the other reviews, I dont think that it is heavy, but even if it were, I would see that as a plus that would prevent a stationary monitor from tipping over. While other reviewers had problems with the monitor drooping once mounted on the stand I have had no such problem. I put the monitor on the VESA mount, cranked it right, and it has stayed in the position I adjusted it to. I would recommend to a friend and would buy another should the need arise.

Great unit.
Screws to bolt to the monitor were too short.
