is this a SPEAKER cable where I can connect 50 watt amp head to a 2X12 speaker cabinet??

BEST ANSWER: This is not a speaker cable. This is a shielded signal cable for guitars, keyboards, etc. A speaker cable is a two-conductor non-shielded cable. if you absolutely had to use this cable as a speaker cable, it would work in a pinch. However, I would not purchase this cable for speakers.

No. You need a speaker cable to do that. Speaker cables are constructed differently than audio cables. Audio cables havea single conductor and are grounded to the shield in the cable. Speaker cables have 2 conductors. Do not use an audio cable as a speaker cable.

BEST ANSWER: Any device that calls for a 1/4 inch TS (mono) connection. Some guitars use this connections as well as a myriad of other professional audio equipment.

You can also connect stomp boxes and effect boxes to amplifier or guitars.

Is this an instrument cable or a speaker cable? please note, there are two different kinds of cables- If you use an instrument cable for a speaker (from a guitar amp head) it will heat up and can cause damage.

Actually better than I expected. Quality cable wire. The 1/4-inch terminals/jacks are not chintzy. They are performing well so far!

I bought five of these cables, every one of them working perfectly without a hitch. They aren't light cables and the connectors for some reason don't need the steel wool cleanup the cheap guitar store cables often do...

Just what I expected!
I have been buying audio cables from Monoprice throughout the years as the price is good and quality is excellent. I bought the 25 foot cable as they were out of the 10 and 15 foot models. I would expect no difference in the guitar cable and was not let down. I would easily buy again.
