will these connect a CD player with stereo system?
A shopper
on May 28, 2022
BEST ANSWER: Yes, if both your CD player has an rca "out", and your stereo has an rca "in". Use red to red and black to black and you should be all set. Most component CD players have a built in DAC allowing you to use rca cables.

Are these copper wire cables - oxygen free?
New User U
on Jan 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The high-end speaker wire industry markets oxygen-free copper as having enhanced conductivity or other electrical properties that are supposedly advantageous to audio signal transmission. However, conductivity specifications for common C11000 Electrolytic-Tough-Pitch (ETP) and higher-cost C10200 Oxygen-Free (OF) coppers are identical.[12] Much more expensive C10100, a highly refined copper with silver impurities removed and oxygen reduced to 0.0005%, has only a one percent higher conductivity—insignificant in audio applications.[12] OFC is nevertheless sold for both audio and video signals in audio playback systems and home cinema.[12]

Yes, but OF is excelent for one thing... durability... the cable will last more than your life (lifetime), the other, certainly NOT, specially if you leave close to the ocean.

Are these low capacitance wires . I need a 20 foot run for a turntable?
A shopper
on Mar 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I don't really suggest hooking up a turntable directly with such a long run, regardless of capacitance. Rather, you should hook up to a preamp locally then you can have a long run if needed to your amp. The problem is the very low signal which will not be transmitted differentially meaning you will get noise regardless; the preamp (which you can get just for your turntable providing line-level to your amp or a processor or .receiver) will be less sensitive.

For a length of 20-25 feet, I rather suggest the Coaxial Cable #2683, provided that your turntable has a built-in preamplifier. There wouldn't be any capacitance problem with that kind of cable.
If not, it's not advisable to use such length of wire.

Is a grounding cable needed? I plan to run this from my turntable, with no preamp, to a preamp module and then to my powered speakers.

BEST ANSWER: The phono preamp should have a grounding post to attach the ground wire from the turntable. That's all the grounding you need to do. I also bought these cables to use with a phone preamp and I've been happy with the results.

Normally a grounding cable is needed with a turntable.. but it doesn't need to be anything special. Any regular thin wire will do, if you have a piece of "scrap" wire for the ground it should be OK.

Can I use these to use connect my amp to my avr?
A shopper
on Apr 27, 2023
BEST ANSWER: Yes. Assuming you know which outputs to connect to which inputs, these will connect any RCA jack to any other RCA jack. The only question would be if the things you connect are compatible with each other.

Too loose for the jacks
The construction looks to be sturdy, but the plugs are inconsistent in tightness on the RCA jack. I had to very carefully compress three of them to keep them from sliding off the jack so they had a tight grab.

Good cables...too stiff for what I needed.
These are solid cables with nice connectors, but it turns out they're too stiff for the application I had in mind. Off to the cable pile.

Some tight, some just right
Some of the gold connectors were tight, and others just right. I swapped them around quite a bit to determine it was the cables and not my RCA connectors. I had to use pliers to slightly open up some of the connectors so they weren't so tight.
