It works, BUT not how I wanted it to. I bought it to replace 1ft. and a 3ft. 24awg cable connected with a coupler. I have a 25ft. 24awg cable from pc to switch to 1ft.24awg-coupler-3ft 24awg out to monitor. I wanted get rid of the coupler. It works fine with 1ft. coupler 3ft. cables but fails with this cable. The 1ft. cable is a monoprice cable, this cable is supposed to be the same. I don't think it is, doesn't seem as thick. Anyways I put to use somewhere else.
I use these in my everyday connect on-and-off to my A/V Mixer that I record for live streaming. The cable itself is not very forgiving, but it does hold its shape like any other twisted pair wrapping. The mesh jacket does provide some protection for people that are stepping on it by accident since all my cables in such instances are just out in the open. I have ordered over 30 of these cables in various lengths (to connect from HDMI extenders to TVs and also use a lot of these for interconnects for HDMI distribution amps and the like. So far they work. My only other issue is that some are not great when it comes to connecting to a looser plug on the equipment (you can blame half of that on the coupler for each end). Thankfully you can find HDMI locks to keep them in place, so that's a good thing that the head of these are not super bulky.
When they say Commercial Grade that would be an understatement, I have seen tow-ropes that were not as thick. I have not had any problems with these cables. The quality and build are second to none. Highly Recommended
PROS: High Quality
CONS: Very stiff, might not work in all situations.
I thought that these would be the best available cables. When i used them with my Roku the picture quality deteriorated to a level that i could not watch it. Picture divided into 3 horizontal bands that flickered on and off. I replaced the cable with an old HDMI and the picture quality returned.
CONS: Picture deteriorated, VERY VERY Stiff, so you need extra room behind set unless you have a right angle HDMI connector
Connections are loose. Cables so stiff that they put great amount of torque on hdmi ports. Poorly constructed...lasted 2 months. Beyond the 30 day return policy. They are willing to issue store credit once they receive them back but that leaves me without home theatre even longer. They should have just given credit and allow me to reorder a different product. Paying shipping 3 times for items at this price point is silly and inconvenient. I guess you get what you pay for
