Great monitor. I love that I can fit two windows on it. 4 stars because the cables stick out the back instead of downward.

Resolution is not enough for this large of a monitor. You can see the actual pixels which makes it a no go for me.

Great picture, perfect size for me. It occasionally blinks though. Just enough to make me worry about the backlight might die.

Excellent monitor, easy set-up

I went back and forth on different monitors for about a month. This one was on sale when I purchased. The warranty from monoprice, the price, and the USB C charging were all things that led me to purchasing.

At the time there were no reviews for the monitor, I wasn't 100% sure it'd work great via USB C with a mac, but I figured if I had to go to display port or use HDMI, it wouldn't be a terrible purchase.

Yes, compared to the screen on the macbook, this one is less sharp because of the resolution, but a 5k2k ultrawide monitor was way out of my price range.
Initially I noticed the lack of higher resolution, but it's really not bad at all. I think most of the folks who talk about it on reddit are just on a high horse. This works great for what I'm using it for - mainly word processing putting together bids for my company. I needed the space to have multiple windows open. Email, maps, and word are all open with space to spare.
The stand does take up quite a bit of space on my 30" deep desk, I ended up building a little shelf to put the rear leg about 4 inches off the back of my desk. I found that gave me more desk space and actually got the monitor a little further away from me which I also found to be a good thing.
I love this monitor. Once I hooked it up, the mac auto selected the resolution and refresh rate. I have HDR turned off and the montior brightness down because I found it too bright otherwise. I ended up using my own LEDs rather than the built in lighting on the back, however it was a nice touch to have that.
The speakers are garbage though, be aware of that.

For the average user, this is a sweet monitor for the money.

A quick note for the other reviewer, Ami -> Hopefully they come back and see this, but the monitor is height adjustable off its center column, you can lower the monitor to about 4" from the desk to the bottom of the monitor to as high as about 7.5" (there's also a wall mount too).

I connected this to my Macbook pro via HDMI and an adapter and one note is that in your display settings you do need to update the refresh rate of the monitor, otherwise it will seem quite "muted" and even low res, once you make that update however, it comes to life: Super sharp, great contrast and perfect for all productivity (I regularly use Sketch, Figma, Photoshop, Teams, Outlook etc. and it's fabulous... and flat!

The description states that this moniotor can be adjusted for height. I contacted tech support because I couldn't figure it out, and he said that it cannot be adjusted. The monitor is great, but I need it in a lower position.
