BEST ANSWER: I wound up not using this device; instead, I replaced my copper HDMI cable with a fibre HDMI cable, and that has worked perfectly so far.

Assuming both displays are the same resolution, yes, you can use two sets daisy-chained via the loop output of the first set.

What is the default edid if I don't set one?

BEST ANSWER: It appears to passthrough the EDID from the display by default. If you press the EDID button once, it will 'learn' the EDID from the display that the RX side is plugged into (if isn't already passing it through). If you hold down the EDID button for 3 seconds it will learn the EDID from the TX loop. If there is no display on the loop, it will use the built-in EDID, which is 1080p 2CH.

works great
So i just bought these and they worked great plug and play no worries. Great price too. Works well with 4K apple tv where some hdmi baluns have issues.
