How did you verify it supports AAC? Than manual only lists SBC as supported.
Once connected to the headphones, under Bluetooth in my phone, I went into the Bluetooth options for the M1000ANC which is labeled as MP43453 and there's is an option for HD Audio. When you click that, it gives you the option for AAC for HD or SBC. When I have it to AAC, I went into my Developer Options and confirmed that my OnePlus phone is indeed using AAC and at 16 Bits with a sampling rate of 44.1 khz

They supports SBC and AAC. AAC is used for the HD portion of this headphone for higher data transfer rates. iPhones support both Codecs as does my Android OnePlus 8T.

How solid do the hinges look? [ The previous model, 600ANC, seems to have had a problem with them. ]

How to tell whether or not Dirac Virtuo is engaged or not? When you power up the M1000ANC, does it start off with Dirac in the Off position or On? When I toggle the Dirac on/off, I definitely notice one position is louder, the other quieter, the quieter one may be delivering some spatial effects, reduces noise such as what you get from old (60s) recordings on tape and the frequency range might be a bit better... but I honestly don't notice a huge difference. It actually sounds pretty good both ways. But I'd like to know which one is Dirac.

Not truly Monolith caliber
3 stars considering I nabbed these for like $38.
Build quality is decent although not as good as the original Active Solace cans. Sound quality is pretty good although they don't have a lot of punch. Bass is not bloated or boomy but has little oomph. Clarity reasonable. NC is deceptively effective. A highlight is the sound quality seems unaffected when NC is on regardless of strength and the NC works well. My biggest complaint is the volume: simply not loud enough. For $40 these are fine yet at anywhere near $100 a disappointment. Not lousy cans I just don't feel these earned the Monolith badge. I own the liquid spark DAC & amp, M650 open-back wired cans, the USB stick style DAC/amp, etc. All those punch way above their price, love them. These NC BT cabs should be under the regular Monoprice name, not worthy of the Monolith name in my opinion. I'm a Monolith fanboy, I want to brag on those products. No such luck here.

Light weight, but disappointing
I've been disappointed with these headphones. I've had two pairs of the Sonic Solace and loved everything about them except their weight. I got the Monolith for its lighter weight and expected the same quality sound and functionality. Alas, they don't measure up. They don't automatically connect to Bluetooth and have to be manually connected every single time. The sound is thinner, the noise canceling less effective and the controls are maddening. The double tap to stop/start is particularly bad. I'm keeping them for extended wear at the office where the weight is a benefit, but I can't recommend them for anything else.

not for zoom meeting
The sound is decent. It is comfortable to my normal sized head. However, it cannot be used for zoom meetings. The mic volume is very low, even after turning off noise cancelation. Nobody can hear me talking in the meeting.
overall, good for music, not so good for zoom meetings.

No noise cancelling when not used wirelessly
Noise cancelling does not work when you plug in the headphones using the 3.5mm jack as you do when on planes

If you're looking for terrific value look no more!
These Bluetooth headphones have all of the features and sound quality of the " big name" headphones for a fraction of the price.

Low volume anc lacking
Coming from Bose qc 35 for comparison. These headphones are just ok. Not even close to the Bose. Sound quality is just ok but the volume level max is way too low. I could barely hear my movie on last flight. I was hoping for bargain replacement based on monolith name but these are not worth the 129 I paid. Don't recommend

Don't go loud.
Sound is good. ANC is very little but it's there, worst thing is they can not do loud. So it's you're watching movies or hearing something with dialogue it leaves you wanting a lot more. For music the loudness is ok, Unless you want to really rock out.
