For a point of reference, I found the height of the pole to be too short for my LG 40" 95 wide/curved monitor. I am ~190cm/6'2" and my eyes are roughly 5 inches above the monitor at my standing desk. This results in the monitor lying too low compared to other solutions I have used. The pole design seemed like it would also allow the monitor to sit further back on my desk. I found that the collar that connects to the pole is stable and sturdy enough to truly mount 90 degrees from center and the support is secure. I am able to gain a few more inches of desk real estate with this mount. I do wish that they offered a model with a taller tower that would be 20-22" tall.

How well does this mount work for something like the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 49" S49AG952N monitor?

BEST ANSWER: I don’t have this mount yet but I am very confident that it won’t be able to support super curved monitors like the G9. The reason is those monitors are so heavily leaning forward, a light duty tilting clamp won’t suppose the weight. That’s why people spend $400 for Ergotron.

I have put my 40" LG 95 on it and it holds, allows for adjustment of the tilt, and is fairly steady. It does suffer from a little typing shake transferred from my desk but the effect is not very noticiable.

For big tv/monitors.
It?s massive and steady. I put my 42? LG Oled on it. The vesa plate that came with (200x200-75x75) was too small for my needs. Luckily I already had a 200x300 plate.

My 43" LG monitor swivels slightly
Very sturdy construction on the part of the Monoprice mounting hardware. This unit allowed me to save a few inches of desk space compared to the stand that came with my LG 43UN700-B 43" monitor.
The weight of the monitor, however, causes it to swivel clockwise. This is probably due to the monitor not being balanced internally, but I couldn't use the included stand due to its size.
I also had to tighten the unit using quite a bit of strength to prevent the top of the monitor from tilting forward, but at least it doesn't move.
