Does it have a 3.5mm input jack? (According to the downloadable manual and the chart of various Monoprice bluetooth speakers it does, but the photos don't match the manual.)

BEST ANSWER: Believe the photos. There is no 3.5mm jack. Instead there is a light that indicates the charging status. At least on the two I received there was no jack. Hope that helps.

I listen to my music in my cubicle at work at very, very low volume. Other Monoprice Bluetooth speakers I have had have the incredibly stupid feature of a very loud "bloop" sound when you turn it on. It was loud enough that I had to get a non-Monoprice speaker to use at work. Does this speaker continue that horrible tradition, or does it turn on more quietly?

BEST ANSWER: I don't think it's the "bloop" you're talking about, but it does make a noise to indicate it's turning on and then another to indicate it's connected to a device. Not too loud and it actually is a pretty light noise, but mine is in the shower so it has never bothered me.

It bloops avery time it makes (and then loses?) a bluetooth connection, which is...frequently. Tried to use it with a Chromebook in a classroom and it was pretty anoying. A version that connects by wire would be a better option, I think.

The charging port on the device is USB micro-B. Mine came with a USB-A to Micro-B cable.

It states that it only last about 4 hours on a charge. That does not seem too long. Is that accurate?

We got two of them and use them in the backyard to fill the space. They work well.

Sounds about right, they recharge quickly. They beep on low battery, buy two and sync them.. they will sound better and you can still listen while the other charges.

Looking at the Full specs it shows "Playback/Talk Time: About 4 hours". But the description reads "Up to 21 hours of continuous playback at 50% volume". Which is correct?

BEST ANSWER: Had that question too. I bought a couple months ago and primarily use in shower 10-15 min/d. I charged it when I got it and in probably 45 days later it hasn’t died. I do turn it on/off each use. I believe it automatically turns off after about 5 min when bluetooth source ends playback. That adds up to more than 4 hours but less than 20 so far…. Maybe 10-12 hours to date.

Can I use the speaker while plugged in the wall for charging? I doubt I will keep it charged and want a speaker that can be powered by a charger during the same time I am using it.

The manual and summary say there is a 3.5mm input, but in the pictures the hole is labeled "LED" and is way too small to be a 3.5mm jack. Is there a 3.5mm jack or not?

Very good speaker for the price
This is a fine speaker. Its 'good enough' for my listening needs (which is mostly podcasts, not music)
For me the major drawback is the auto-power-down after 10 minutes 'feature' which happens even when plugged in. But this is a problem for all monoprice speakers.

Nice puck
Surprised at the output for the size. Not super thumpy but has a good clear EQ. I'm not sure you could get a better product for the price.

no jack for 1/4inch stereo cable, blue-tooth only
website described it as having a port for a 1/4 inch stereo cable, is blue tooth only. Speaker battery lasts for long time, doesn't go as loud I was hoping.

Superior to the Sony SRS XB13
Great sound and battery life for the price. Replaced a $60 Sony Bluetooth speaker with this, definitely the better product.

Great little speaker
Great little speakers. The pairing of two speakers together is a nice touch. Bass seems adequate for a speaker this size. Can?t comment on battery life because I haven?t used it long enough, but so far I?ve been able to listen for a few hours without a problem.

Great sound for the size
This little speaker delivers great sound for it's small size. It was easy to pair with my phone and provides a terrific way for me to listen to music while out on my kayak. Excellent value for the price. Highly recommended
