On the product page look for the turquoise Description tab. Right next to it is a tab that says Full Specs, click that. The Full Specifications tab shows that the Recommended Amplifier Power is 40 to 140 watts. I thought these were 8 ohm speakers, but the specifications say 4 ohms,

Surprised at the sound and quality
Pretty much thrilled by the sound and quality of these speakers. I compose and record my own music, mostly instrumentals. I was blown away by the definition and separation and yes, bass response. I'm running these off of a small 300 watt per channel amp and a relatively inexpensive CD player.
These bring out the subtleties I never heard in the studio. You can't go wrong purchasing these speakers. More than happy with my purchase.

Good for budget
The sound quality is good; the mids and highs sound great?the low end, however, is less than desirable?.they definitely need an accompaniment of a subwoofer to cover that spectrum.
The pictures are deceiving? the pictures show dual wire terminal posts, where these are just single. The pictures also show a defined wood grain texture in the vinyl cabinet cover?these are jet black?hard to see any texture. Take note, that these are 4ohm? most stereos are only stable at 6ohm or higher
In real life these floor speakers are just above knee height very short and slender.
The better than decent sound quality and low cost are the two major factors for purchasing these speakers?.

Monolith T4 speakers and C5 Center speaker. Outstanding!
After designing a custom room (about 17.5' x 13' x 9.5' high) for a 12.2 surround system (with 57 speaker elements), Monoprice delivered. Actually over-the-top delivered. My system is literally engineered using modern electronic and crossover twists, plus fresh cabinet designs for some older BES (Bertagni) omnipolar units, along with also customizing still fine Whafedale and original RTR speakers. Some "more elite" speaker components were tailored in, but the four Monolith Audition T4 units used horizontally (two units on the upper left side wall and two on the right), and the addition of a Monolith C5 center speaker ended up replacing original speakers at more than 8x their price. I took a chance --- assuming I might just gut the Monolith units and use only their cabinets. I was stunned when simple EQ adjustments right out of their boxes resolved literally months of prior frustrations and achieved a very solid blend. Packaging, component quality, design, and performance. VALUE!

Good speakers
These are some decent speakers, using them in the computer room and they sound fine (accompanied by a Monoprice subwoofer) powered through a Fosi Audio BT 30D. Worth the money, I had purchased a pair of Dayton Audio T652-AIR at the same time for more money and the Monoprice T4's hold their own and then some, in some not so demanding music the T4 actually sound better.

very nice, unobtrusive
It was finally time to replace the ol' Bose 301s. These were a great choice. We paired them with a 50 watt amplifier. Plenty of sound - we keep the volume below the 8 o'clock mark on the amp.

Awesome!
I'm very impressed with the sound performance and looks. Just what I needed to enhance our home theater. A great value too. I was surprised with the very thoughtful and careful packaging. I've always ordered cables from Monoprice and now I can trust them with sound equipment.

LOVE these
Unbelievable quality sound without the need for any room tuning. Sub response was so good it actually startled me, haha. Incredibly happy with this purchase, a long-needed upgrade to my gaming and movie sound system paired with a new Sony receiver. Cannot recommend them enough, especially at this price point!
