I listen to a lot of different styles and types of music and this speaker seems to work with all of them. I am using a Yamaha 801 amp with 100 watts and this seems to work very well with the speakers. This is a 4 ohm speaker so you need a little bit of punch to drive them.I use the t6 for strictly stereo listening and is a very clean and uncolored speaker. I have these separated about 8 ft and towed in maybe five degrees and set out from the wall about 18 inches for my listing space. I have an SVS sealed subwoofer I use with these and I do prefer with the sub but if you're not too big of a bass head it'll work fine without. Have my sub volume up about halfway and the crossover at 100 Hertz seems to be a good balance. A good sub is hard to beat with any speaker. This speaker can get loud but I'm using most listening at about 70 or so db. I am certainly no speaker expert but I have had quite a few different speakers over the years and I would have to say this speaker for the price is probably one of the best if not the best. If you are looking for a balanced neutral tower speaker in this price range you can't go wrong with this one. If you're looking for a bright speaker, this probably is not for you.

While I don't have access to a wide range of speakers, I listened to a few others when shopping for new speakers and nothing else came close for the price. While my sub will handle the lower bass, I wanted a speaker with solid mid-bass punch and these deliver! They are tight and not boomy. Meanwhile, mid-range/vocals are clear and neutral; highs are crisp, but not bright. After all the break-in and tweaking, I final got to settle in and just watch a movie and it sounded great, can't wait to watch more!

I was listening and reading different reviews on tower speakers and just happen to come across these. I decided to take a chance on them and once I ordered and set them up I was totally blown away from the amazing sound they delivered. The sound is decisive and crisp with plenty of bass response. I was going to spend more money at first on other speakers but I am glad I didn't. I love listening to classical music along with some good ole rock and roll. The sound is amazing. As a first entry into finally assembling some kind of home theater system?. Very nice sounding components?. With its low sensitivity ? it still works with a lower powdered receiver amplifier, but is sure to come alive when you upgrade to a receiver or amplifier with more power. Clear, crisp? great choice for someone looking to venture into home theater? looking for something decent without breaking the bank.

Extremely accurate and detailed. The reviews stating bass and overall high output are spot on. Take a few hours to break in, sound a little flat when first powered, drivers must be stiff. I have these biamped with 4 channels of a harman signature 2.1 amp. Probably don't need a sub, the bass from these is the type that hits in chest, very strong.. These are excellent.

They fill the room with quality sound and or music. They are very transparent and crystal clear. I am a bass fan and they meet my needs at that point, but could use a little more upper end midrange and highs. I was able to adjust this issue to my taste with the avr. I liked them so much I have also purchased the Encore C6 center channel and the Encore B6 bookself speakers to complete my 5.1 home theater.

I've been wanting to buy from Monoprice from they're Monolith line for awhile. When I was needing speakers for a setup I decided to give these a shot. I was stunned. I have listened to a lot of speakers at many different price points. SVS Klipsch RBH Polk Definitive Golden Ear Power Sound Audio B&W JBL Focal the list is long. And for the price these speakers punched WAY above there price point. I was blown away. I'd say there strengths are amazing tonality between bass mids and highs. Huge bass and deep bass extension at this price point. And they image so well and throw a crazy wide and deep Soundstage. They can take a lot of power and play clean for the price. The mids are clear and balanced and the highs are detailed but not bright smooth just the way I like it. And the aesthetics they look much nicer in person then what's in the picture. They are a nice looking speaker. If you want great sound but are on a budget these are the towers and the speaker lineup to go for. Great job Monoprice. You have a customer for LIFE. What everyone says is true the value for the money you spend the actual performance you get from your audio products is so high. Im a very happy customer Monoprice. Keep up the great work
