Correct except that with the front grille on it is 22" front to back. Connections in the back add another 1/2". It should also be out from the wall a little if possible.

It comes with the power cord and a set of white gloves. As far as cables, you’ll need a RCA cable or this sub can be used with XLR cables, depending on your equipment. This sub is an absolute beast and well worth the price.

For what it's worth I've cranked this to the max via two-channel audio and have never heard any port noise. Even with 20hz boosted. I think though that there could always be some noise in very particular situations with about any ported sub. Plus this one comes with a plug so you could always use it if you have issues and with two of these It think you'd have plenty of response either way.

I am not using for movies but for stereo listening. I suspect anyone experiencing this either doesn’t have them set up properly or are over driving them. Possibly both. Remember, the source content dictates the the bass. Sometimes that doesn’t seem loud enough but the temptation to increase bass should be resisted. Let the software set up do its thing.

No port noise unless your at very low frequency (less than 20), and all your hearing is the volume of air the port is moving. I have two 10s in my theater and it's pretty good. Check Erin's audio corner on YouTube he did a very good review and also some comparisons to some other subs you might be looking at.

Your avr receiver should have a subwoofer rca connection on the back of it. Once you locate that run the rca cable to the sub and you are good. If you want to maximize the sub as one probably would. Get a rca cable that has one male connection on one end and 2 male connections on the other. That way you will have LFE to the sub. Hope that helped

Yes. A proper way to do so is add something like Svs isolation feet to the side. The sub is less likely to walk around if the carpet is slick: Also decouples the floor a bit so your bass sounds cleaner.

I have a 2800 cubic square foot room. Would this sub work well in my room?
A shopper
on Jul 17, 2022
BEST ANSWER: Yes. My room is bigger and im more than happy. I love base and good fidelity sound but im not an extreme audio snob. I opted for buying one 10” vs one 12” expecting to want to buy another 10” later, but probably never will cause i gotta turn this thing down the way it is; it makes me smile a lot. However, with large rooms two subs would give a much more symmetric sound meaning it would be harder to tell where the base is coming from.

It has a nice output and I'm sure it would sound ok, but just ok in a room that size. It goes without saying that that's subjective. I personally like that pressurized sensation along with the deeper notes, so I went with 2 of these. One on either side of my sofa facing forward. My room is 2200 cubic feet.

I dont remember the specs but i do remember the principle. All things being equal, the larger subs push more air and so can fill the room better if your space is large enough. Research shows that two is significantly better than one. I bought the 10” thinking i would end up needing a second one in the future (i have a 40’x15’x9’ room). It sounds so good to me that i probly never will.

Two questions:
1) Could you please recommend the correct cable for connecting to a Denon AVR-S760H receiver? I am unfamiliar with these LFE connections.
2) Would you still recommend configuring the SW to THX even if the rest of the system is not THX certified speakers? The receiver is high quality Denon AVR-S760H.
Thanks

BEST ANSWER: Use an RCA audio cable and you can still set the sub to THX even if the other speakers are not THX certified.

Any recommendation for adjustable feet? Does it come with something other than the stubs we see in the images? Thanks.

Excellent Sub, Reasonable Price!
I purchased this sub based on various reviews(Expert and Home Theater Enthusiast) and it didn't disappoint. The sub is pretty heavy so shipping is expensive. It arrived in good condition, excellent protection. I added this sub to my system to get a better seat to seat consistency and I have achieved that. My other two subs are different brand, but they are very similar in the low-end extension and are also front ported subs. The integration of my three subs was seamless and the Monolith M-10 2V blends nice with the other two. The sub quality feels good, it's heave and feels very solid. I like how this sub sounds. It has a very good frequency response. This sub is meeting my expectations so far.

Would happily buy another
Very happy with this subwoofer. I needed a second one to balance room bass response and I didn't need anything huge, just clean and capable of 20 hz. Shipping was fast and damage free.

Great range and output levels, terrible port noise
I purchased two of these for a small theater room (12x14) that does not have any acoustic treatment. I am using Audyssey XT32 for setup.
Pros:
- Plenty of output for this room size
- Responsive down to 20hz
- Simple controls on the amp make it easy to interface with or without a receiver.
Neutral
- Seems somewhat heavy/bulky for a 10" sub
Cons:
- Significant port noise at 25hz. I ended up having to run these sealed as the port noise is so bad. This seems like a straightforward engineering exercise to address and is a big con to these subs if you're doing HT
- High background noise in the amplifiers. On one of the subs, if I turned the volume up all the way (with no signal cable connected) I could hear a sort of "whooshing" sound as far as 10ft away. In the other, if I did this, the whooshing sound was only audible if you were about 1ft away. Noise seems relatively high on these amps. Does not appear to be power related as the effect was consistent between subs and rooms

WOW what a sub!!!
All I can say is WOW!! This sub really outperforms my REL subs. I really like how ow it can get, that being said it's rather large so I put it on a furniture dolly to move it around till I find the sweet spot!! If you're on the fence about getting it. Lear's just say it brings action movies to life!!!!!

Solid clean bass
The plots and the rave are true, this sub is great. I bought one, liked it so much that I bought another one for the living room. I have driven them pretty hard already in testing and didn't reach distortion, clipping or shutdowns.
Do notice that a good sub is only half of the experience, placement and room shape are equally important. I spent several hours trying different locations to find the optimal spot and this is time well spent IMO. I recommend REW + UMIK-1 mic for measuring the room response.
Hope my poor house endures the bass shakes now.

**I N C R E D I B L E** (no, but really!)
No joke the best sub I've ever heard in a home theater. The quality and shear omnipresence of the bass is completely insane at that price. Absolutely in love with it and can't recommend it enough. I will say... it is pretty darn big, so make sure you have the space for it.
Cat for size. Obviously.

OUTSTANDING!
Love these subs! Came carefully packaged and protected. Easy to set up and get dialed in. Provides deep, clear and responsive bottom end. I'm running two of these subs with vintage Klipsch Cornwalls, and these Monoliths sound magnificent!

Consigliatissimo!! Non fatevelo scappare!!

Top quality sub..
I was looking for a budget solution for my living room which I primarily use for 2 channel music listening. Was doing some research online and saw rave reviews for monoprice subs. Had already listened to their THX speaker lineup, decided to pull the trigger on this one. Proved to be a wise decision.
Packs a lot of punch with 500W amp and has a linear frequency response with the lows. It is built like a tank using higher quality materials than some of my existing subs. Thoroughly enjoyable.
The only con is it's a bit clunky, not easy to move this thing around.
Would definitely recommend to anyone..
