Is there a way to stop the backlight movement? I want a steady backlight and it appears you can only adjust the speed up or down, not stop it completely. The tiny instruction sheet isn't helpful. I will be returning this keyboard if this "feature" can't be turned off.

BEST ANSWER: there's another key combo that cycles through the modes. It eventually gets to solid. I can't remember the combo and I'm writing this on my phone, but I seem to remember holding the fn key and the key with a gear icon ⚙️

That's correct. I just tried it. Function key and the key with gear icon right next to it. to change the modes. Holding the Function key down and using the up/down arrow keys allows for dimming of the backlight.

Feels solid but fails over time

Key action decent. However, first keyboard had 5 backlights go out in the first 4 months. Before a switch failed, and I got a warranty replacement. Replacement backlights also failing. Crazy backlight patterns that are useless for a "work" keyboard. Hard to see key labels without backlights.
