Made my connection super fast

Saw a comment re configuring this router... If you have a router/modem from your ISP, you may have an IP address issue since the AC1200 uses a common IP address as the default, which may be the same as the modem/router from your ISP. Easiest way around this issue is to plug your computer ethernet cable directly into the AC1200 router WITHOUT plugging theAC1200 router into the ISP Router. Then configure the AC1200, including changing the default IP address. Once complete, plug the AC1200 into the ISP router as normal and you should be up and running. Make sure you record your new address for future sign in.

If it does not work right out of the box, I wish you the best of luck. It did not work for me and I have been working with network equipment for 15+ years.

I received it. Plugged it in. Got online. Then could not login to change the network settings. It would not accept the username/password that came in the box. I reached out to Monoprice via email almost two weeks ago....nothing. No reply. While it was plugged in, the speed seemed very fast. Much better than the crappy router my internet provider gave me. But, it?s not secure or useful if can?t change the factory setting. Someone please get back to me or I?ll have to return.

Kicks ass, signal covers my domicile easily. Streamlined setup. Good deal.

Would be a 5 if the antenna were able to be unscrewed and replaced with higher gain ones. Not for the novice as the manual is lean in using the advanced features. Some videos on YouTube are helpful even more so if you speak Indian dialects.

Setup was a little unpolished but nothing out of the ordinary for its pricepoint. Once it was configured everything worked as advertised. Wired and wireless performance was well within advertised ranges. Then 2 hours later it stopped broadcasting wireless networks, the router config page could nolonger be reached and the reset button does nothing. Spending far more time than this thing is worth searching online has yielded no information for this specific set of issues.

I guess this is what I get for buying clearance electronics.
