Is this compatible with a 16” MacBook Pro?

BEST ANSWER: This charger has 2 USB c ports and 2 "regular" USB a ports. There is certainly enough power produced by this charger. If you want to make use of the 100 watt USB c port you may need a cable. MacBook Pro has been using USB c for a while but you may need a c to c cable.

Can't say for sure, but at 100W (with the right cable) I'd think so. Needs to be the only thing plugged in to get all 100W, otherwise the top USB-C steps down to 65W. You can check your OEM power adapter to see what its output is.

Yes altho I haven’t tried it on my 13” Mac yet- the origina provided by apple is 30W

Here are the two specs on that
41986: C1+C2: 65W+30W
43556: USB‑C1+USB‑C2: 65W+18W
There are some more differences on further down stream use cases (e.g. C1+C2+A1, etc) where they are different but I didn't review exhaustively there.
Technically 41986 is "noticeably" heavier at 9.5oz vs 6.7oz on 43556
43556 doesn't match any of the others though, in terms of shape/design. Maybe they are replacing/updating the older rounded versions?

the 43556 USB A ports deliver 30W (7.5W if also using C1+C2+A2, 18W if also using C1+C2)
however the 41986 USB A Ports deliver 12 watts (17 watts shared when using with Type-A 2)

Looks like they are similar. The 43556 is huge and if your wall outlet is a bit aged it has a hard time staying plugged in. Item 43556 works very well.

Does this have an auto-sensing feature that adjusts the power level to the need of the device(s) attached?

BEST ANSWER: yes it does. It will only provide power as fast and at the wattage required. That being said, you can charge your phone on the 180w USB-C port, but it will only charge it at approximately 15W the phone wants. Conversely, you will want to charge your MacBook or MacBook Air on the 100W USB-C port as it will take forever to charge on any of the other ports.

What are the real specs for charging port USB-C2? The 'Full Specs' page has an error on it, as it specifies two different max charging power specifications, 18 watts, and 9 volts, 3 amps (27 watts)

USB-C 1 - 5v 9v 12v 15v = 3A, 20v = 3.25A (65w)
USB-C 2 - 5v = 3A, 9v = 2A
USB-A1-2 - 2.5v = 3.4A MAX (total 17w)
Output Single Port
Type C1: 5V=3A, 9V=3A, 15V=3A, 20v=5A(100w)
So if you are looking to use this for a laptop charger and want the 100w on the USB-C you need to have nothing else plugged in. And you could save some money and get the one with only one port(see attached)

BEST ANSWER: Can't answer for a 5550, but have a Latitude 7410 which has been finicky about non-Dell power bricks but it worked with this Mono brick.

Defective product. Replacement broke. Monoprice will not help.
First one died and stranded me with no charger on my trip. Got a replacement when I asked for a refund. Replacement died after warranty. Monoprice will not help.

Trouble keeping it plugged in but convenient for multiple devices.
Heavy, so it tends to fall out the socket it's plugged in to. But convenient for multiple devices when secure in the socket.

Charges quickly, but?
Seems to charge well enough, noticeably faster than normal USB charging. However my iPad Pro cycles in/out of charging every minute or so after charging is complete. This can?t be good for my iPad so I disconnect it at that point if I am available. This does not occur with the Apple chargers.

Got a year of use out of it
Used it mostly for work for the days I went to the office. Took it with me to Europe and used it on an adapter. All ports, except the 100W one, stopped working immediately. Thought it could be a blown fuse on the adapter but the adapter keeps working fine with a similar charger from Amazon.
Too bad it went kaput on me when I really needed it to work the best.

Does not handle multiple USB-C devices well
Plugging two devices into the USB-C ports (16" Macbook Pro and iPad Air) results in the MacBook stopping its charge or charging then not charging around 80%. It also reduced the charge from the fastest that the MacBook can charge to less than 1/3rd of the rate. I'd accept only getting 65watts to the MacBook with 18 watts to the ipad, but this charger CANNOT support that.
