I currently have 4 similar plugs that work with the Smart Life app. Will these connect to my Amazon Alexa unit through that app, or will I have to run to two separate apps to connect those 4 and these 2?

BEST ANSWER: You will need to set them up in the Stitch App first, then you can share permissions to Amazon and manage from the Alexa app and never need to use the Stitch app again. Alexa will use your Stitch account to manage the smartplugs.

Will this work in multiple locations on different wifi networks?

BEST ANSWER: If you’re question is: “since this is a 2-pack, can you put one in one house and another in a second house, that’s on a different network?” Then yes. These 2 pieces are independent from each other.
If you’re asking if you can easily just move these around, they’ll need to be configured as new each time you relocate the plug.
If you meant something else, then I’m bot sure what you’re asking.
(I’m not MP, I have had these for quite a while now and they’re very reliable compared to some other brands in the house)

is the plug also Australian?

BEST ANSWER: This outlet is for US only. To use it in Australia you will need to have an adapter (to accommodate different plug) and a converter (from 120V/60Hz in US to 230V/50Hz in Australia).
I would contact Stitch customer service to see if they make it for your receptacles.

No, the plug is a standard NEMA 5-15P (matches the receptacle side of the device).

Are these WiFi 5 or Wifi 6 compatible?
Alan M
on May 2, 2022
BEST ANSWER: No. Like all/most Internet of Things (IoT) devices, these devices operate only on the 2.4 Ghz band, which all home routers have at their disposal. Important: I recommend you configure your router's guest network for all your IoT devices and turn on only the 2.4 Ghz radio. This will allow your phone to use the 2.4 Ghz guest network to successfully configure the devices. Modern phones automatically jump on the 5 Ghz radio if it's turned on and you'll have problems configuring IoT devices since your phone is on the other wireless network's band.

Does the timer functionality require WiFi once it's programmed? I'd like to use outlet to schedule nightly router reboots. I would need the timer functionality to work without WiFi because while the router is turned off, WiFi will be down, so this outlet would have to turn back on after 30 seconds or so without WiFi access. Will it be able to do that?
New User U
on Dec 23, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I think the wifi outlet uses bluetooth technology to communicate with a router in order to receive control signals. Your timer will be able to turn off a router in service, but without wifi, the timer wont turn your router on.

When the power to my home flickers off and back on these switches turn on in the middle of the night. How do I stop that?

BEST ANSWER: These default to "off" when power is first applied (like after a brief fluctuation). No way around that unless you power them with a UPS.

Works with Tuya/Smartlife app
I was hoping I could use these smart plugs with the Tuya/Smartlife app and they do. No need to download another app. They are compact but still block the other outlet, that is the only negative I found.

Device is unusable.
Just bought this brand new but I can't install the setup app because "This app isn't available for your device because it was made for an older version of Android." I'm on a brand new Pixel 6 Pro, how is this an issue?

Can't install on my brand new phone.

Stitch plugs
Connecting the plugs to my wi-fi network was really easy and controlling them by the app is easy. Programing automation, not easy.
It is really difficult to program the automation. I have been at if for a few days and can't get it to operate...I am sure it is not this difficult and my limited IT skill is not helping. Instructions on linking it to Alexa are nonexistent.

Works, but
Bought these last August and got them up and running easily and well. Integrated to Alexa without a problem. The negative is I seem to have lost one of the four where it will no longer stay online or function. And of course, just out of warranty...

Easy to install and use
I already have several door sensors, but outlet control is something I thought only came on more expensive solutions.
Installed in a couple of minutes, can easily move from one room to another.
