Can this cat 6a cable be run parallel to Romex under my house without interference ?
BEST ANSWER: The issue of electromagnetic interference and radio frequency interference depends on the quality of shielding of the ethernet cable. However, a separate issue is that NEC (National Electric Code) Article 800.133 restricts most communications cables from being co-located with power cables (i.e., Romex or the NEC formal name of Romex is type NM-B/C [non-metallic sheathed cable]). You should research the applicable electrical code which applies to your jurisdiction -- usually this will be the National Electric Code or some code which references the National Electric Code.
Title say FTP but the description says UTP. Which is correct? (shielded overall, or shielded each twisted pair, or both)
BEST ANSWER: This cable is F/UTP - outer metal shield around all pods, with internal air gap and shield for each twisted pair
