Excellent works perfect for smaller TVs like 40 inch and smaller very easy to conceal behind the tv., but can also be used for larger TVs of course. Wish it had a surge protector.

Perfect, did the trick for a nice clean HDMI installation.

While the concept is great, the implementation needs work. It is quite difficult to complete the wiring of the AC receptacle due to the location of the screws.

I've purchased a few of these and they're great for the price.

The installation was quite easy. It was just like wiring a regular old single-gang outlet with only the added complexity of making a double-gang opening for the added low voltage cable runs. You only need a single gang box for this, a double would get in the way of the fold out 'wings' on the low voltage side. The build quality is quite excellent.

I'm a little disappointed in the product description though. I had the hardest time trying to get my TV physically plugged in. My Samsung LED TV has a right angle power adapter (not a straight plug) and since this power outlet is directly in the center of the bracket it doesn't have enough clearance to plug in without a cheater plug. This really defeats the purpose of the recessed nature of the product. If the outlet was not directly centered but pushed a little higher up in the design it would have worked perfectly. I really wish the product description made a mention that it doesn't support right angle plugs (which most Samsung and LG TVs are) without defeating the recessed nature of it.

Please make the mirror image!

PROS: This is a good product, works as advertised.

CONS: I need the mirror image of this, where the outlet is on the right, and the cable opening is pointing down on the left. If I flip it, the opening is pointing up.

I have done 18 wall installs in the last 5 years and always use these outlets from Monoprice. Never had a problem with one and all installed are still working perfectly. Very convenient to have both outlet and feedthru on the same plate.

Bought this to finish the installation of a flat screen TV to hide the wires. Worked like a charm, looks great and the instructions were great.

I bought two and I'm happy with the first one right now. Have yet to install the second. Good instructions and template to help cut into the drywall. Monoprice should consider selling a blue plastic housing to accompany this purchase.

PROS: Good quality on the construction of the plate and electrical plug.

Flanges to secure to the wall are solid and large

CONS: Need to purchase the housing for the electrical plug which, if not for previous reviews, would have been an inconvenience.
