I have an Air 13" 2019 running 10.15.4. I looked at the specs for the 2020 model and could not see any changes that would lead me to conclude the dongle would not work for your model. I wish I could be fully definitive but if it were me I would buy it. Being able to use the peripherals I already have is great. Best wishes.

I’m not positive but I use mine on a 2020 MacBook Pro 16”. As long as the two USB ports are set up like the picture I would think it would work.

The USB-C port says "data only" -- does this mean that I can't use this port to power the computer? I am looking for a dock that will allow me to connect old USB peripherals, a Thunderbolt display, and also power the computer via USB-C.

BEST ANSWER: It looks like there are 2 USB C i/o. One is for power and might also do data. The other one will not power and only does Data. I think that's what they mean when they say Data only.

It looks like there are 2 usb-c i/o. It looks like one does both data and charging. the other looks to be just data and no charge. That's what I get from the info and pictures.

Will this be able to output to 2 (extended) displays, one from HDMI out & one from the thunderbolt port? I have a dock at work that only supports mirroring when two displays are plugged in.

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question.
According to the info on the page provided by the manufacturer this would not be an MST capable device so you probably cannot get extended displays out of it.

Very effective and reasonably priced
Works great. Somewhat tricky to plug into both ports at the same time but feels very secure once connected. All connections worked well.

seems to work well, after I discovered that the SD card needed to be flipped up.

Draws too much power
Worked great for 10 minutes or so, but now overdraws power whenever there is more than 1 thing (USB devices or Display) plugged in, leading to all USB ports powering off.
Disappointed.

Dongle Works
Very simple item that works. Plugs in to Mac Book Pro. We also bought an HDMI cord that connects it to out Samsung TV. It simply and easily mirrors the computer screen onto the TV. We recommend you buy a longer HDMI cord than we did, so you have flexibility positioning your laptop for Zoom exercise classes, for example.
Delivery was quick and accurate.

Works for me.
The hub matches my space gray MacBook Air and looks like it “belongs”. Functionality is as advertised including the fact that the hub will not power the Apple super drive. I recommend people remove the hub before putting the computer in a travel case to avoid a mishap.
