The item pictured shows output ports 4-8 labeled with 'downscaling'. This feature is not described in the manual. Is the label on the device incorrect? Is there actually a down scaler feature?

Do the HDMI Outputs provide enough power for optical HDMI cables?

Out optical HDMI cables are active so they pull power from the display mostly.
I don't see there being a problem if you are using our cables.

Where can I find the documentation for the Telnet (presumably) protocol used to control the matrix? The manual doesn't mention anything about the commands to be sent via RS-232 or TCP.

What is the difference between this product ID 39665 and product ID 24180? Both are 8x8 4k60 HDMI matrixes that support HDR. I see this has no analog audio outputs, 24180 does.

Its unclear if this can produce one signal on 8 TVs as one image or 8 separate images. Can you combine TVs to make one large picture?
