What is the gauge of this cable?
Kameron H
on Jan 2, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I lack a measurement tool, but estimate 18 gauge. It is the thinnest HDMI cable I have used. I purchased 3 foot runs and can attest to the following v2.1 features: 4K at 120hz, HDR including Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, lossless TrueHD audio, and HDCP 2.2 handshake. I am unable to test eARC and other advertised features. Personally, I would not be comfortable using this for runs longer than 3 feet, especially amid a mix of neighboring cables.

It's thin. I'm not home right now but I'd say it's maybe 20 or even smaller.

BEST ANSWER: No difference. The standard for 8K is 48Kb/s and those cables are excellent for that purpose.

slim ultra HDMI
I have two devices where I could use a short HDMI cable and these work so much nicer than the old fat round HDMI cables and still deliver the same great 4K picture I'd expect.

Wow!
These are great and so cheap to buy. It is things like this that I buy from Monoprice. This tier of cabling is so expensive from other companies and these are quality made.

Nice and Tidy
We have purchased Slim Monoprice HDMI cables before and have been very satisfied.
Slim also means keeping things tidy with all the cabling for our TV, Apple TV, PVR, DVD player, etc.
Purchasing again is the best recommendation!

2/3 is success
I ordered 2 packs of 3 each x 3ft long. Out of 6 cables total, 4 worked perfectly with 4k / 120 HZ (enhanced 4K/8K) and 2 resulted in blinking / loss of signal. Interesting enough I did not have this problem with 6 ft cables at all.

Monoprice 8k Ultra Slim High Speed 3 ft cable
Ordered a 3 pack even though right now only need two. Using them to connect TVs in bedrooms to Blue Ray/DVD player. These slim cables are nice as they don't take up much room and are easier to snake around the devices.
