Are the earhooks removable or bendable in some way?
A shopper
on Nov 27, 2019
BEST ANSWER: You cannot bend them like wire-cored silicone, they are rigid plastic which maintains its shape and might break with enough torsion. It rotates at the joint to the headphones, but that's it.

The ear hooks hinge like a door, so you can drop the hook over your ear, and rotate the tip into your ear canal. Removable? Not so much.

The ear hooks are somewhat bendable, they swing around 360, and are not removable.

You can upgrade the cable to something different. In my case, a balanced audio cable for my Digital Audio Player. These are not wireless, but you could get a wireless receiver integrated into a different cable. However, if you go with bluetooth, then you've bypassed the whole idea of high res headphones. Bluetooth is like low res mp3's, it defeats the purpose of quality headphones in exchange for convenience.

The oxygen-free copper MMCX cable Monoprice offers is heavier, so I don't recommend switching out the cable. The original is lightweight and does the job. Ultimately, I hope Monoprice comes out with more metal-fortified rubber wires which you can bend over your ear to circumvent the clunky ear hangers.

So you can change the cables if they break or if they're uncomfortable.

Will these require eq to sound correct like other open back planar in ear monitors?
A shopper
on Nov 29, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I am going to say yes. But everything to a degree comes down to your sound preference. I am running the isine 10 eq settings for the cyphercable and they sound almost idetical, almost.

Their EQ off-the-bat sounds better than the M300's did, however the sound should be tuned.

Are you able to hear your surroundings with these on?
A shopper
on Nov 24, 2020
Yep. Not really suitable for listening in loud environments. But if you need to keep an ear out for, say, people calling your name, then it's good for that as long as you don't raise the volume too loud.

Disappointed
Returning for three reasons:
1. Needs heavy equalization to make natural-sounding. Spent a couple hours doing this.
2. In spite of equalization, they still lack a lot of detail vs other planars. If you're looking to hear the vocalist's room acoustics, you won't find it here.
3. In-your-head sound. My closed-back on-ears have more soundstage than these.
Pros?
1. Lightweight
2. Easy enough to put on and take off
3. Not bad bass (if you equalize for it)

Great sound. Ear sore without bending.
They sound great. I really love the audio for gaming. The only issue is I had to take a heat gun to melt and change the shape of the ear hooks.

Gosh... just wow!
These are the best headphones I have ever had the chance of listening to... over ear or iems...
Paired with a Schiit Modi and a SMSL SP200, digital out from my TV, the sound is loud and rich with DTS:X from my Xbox One X...
I proudly recommend... this is a gift from the Gods, honestly...!

Nice sounding IEH
Like the IEH very much. It sounds very open like AKG Q701, soundstage is quite wide too. I dont have any issues with fitting, but the double flange tip works better. Of course, the IEH needs EQ to sound good. Just google isine 10 EQ, they all work well for m350.

An improvement over the M300s with some flaws
An interesting IEM, but it's flawed in that it doesn't have have any real lows or highs. Its kinda the opposite of a V Shaped sound. The openness results in an insane soundstage and good imaging for an IEM, but also kills off any bass or upper highs. Essentially a fairly flaccid sound. Monoprice needs to revisit this as a Semi open back design, to recover more of the lost fidelity.
While lightweight it also is fairly flimsy, im scared to really use them aggressively in any manner like i do with most of my IEMs. It feels like if i push the earclips in any direction too far it would snap, definitely a very delicate design.

Wouldn't buy
Earbuds don't fit well in ear. Can't get to seal in eardrum. Feels like wearing a stethoscope. Can't comment on sound quality due to fitting problem. Also couldn't even get one of the earbud sizes (not the largest) to fit on the product because it wasn't manufactured properly.
I would expect a much higher quality product from Monoprice, since this is their ship-of-the-line product. One Star. Would not keep if they were $12.99, let alone $129.99.

Nice little Planar
Everyone's hearing and gear is different, but its hard not to love this little guys. Nice and smooth, clear and balanced albeit one person seems to think EQ'ing could improve the sound, well fact is EQ'ing can make anything sound better, thats the purpose. Well worth the $$$ and performs way above its price point.

Wow
I really like my new Monoprice M350 IEM's. I previously owned the Monoprice M300's that I couldn't wear for any extended period of time because of the lack of comfort. These are lighter and fit way better. The sound is about the same which is excellent. Note that if you haven't experienced Planar speakers and especially open back speakers, you are really missing something. As soon as they started playing it rendered virtually every other IEM I've heard obsolete.
The sound is quite Electrostatic like. I've owned a number of electrostatic speakers over the years (Martin Logan CLS and Acoustat X's, 2+2's and 6's. Like the Electrostatic speakers, these are super detailed with effortless mid and treble ranges. The bass is likely not adequate for a bass head but works for me. I also have a pair of Stax Gamma over the ear headphones that sound a lot like these IEM's.
For $150, these are a steal. I highly recommend them.

Severe reliability issues.
I'm no audiophile. They sound pretty good.
But there's a problem where the membrane gets stuck on the magnets or something. This kills the earpiece. It's happened twice so far.

A great IEM option if you use EQ
I can't compare these to the Audeze IEM's as I don't own those, but I can say that the m350 have a sound that no other IEM has, and that is planar smoothness and bass extension. However, you need at least a 7 or 10 band EQ to get a balanced sound out of them. You'll also need some power, a phone could drive them, but you'll want some extra juice to really drive these with authority as they are quite inefficient.
Natively, the m350's have a bazaar, hollow and compressed presentation with lots of lower mid-range bloom. Very nasally sounding. I wouldn't recommend using the m350's without EQ, because like the Audeze IEM's, some sonic trickery is needed to make them sing. Go over to Head-Fi and search for the EQ for the Audeze iSine and apply that to the m350 and you're pretty much there. I've done this with my Hiby r3 and r6 Pro and they sound fantastic. Lots of tight bass, great midrange and rolled off highs. And oh, what bass. No other IEM I've ever heard under $1000 has made Steely Dan's "Godwhacker" or "Jack of Speed" sound this authoritative or detailed. The sub-bass is impressive.
As for fit, I use the memory foam tips and they fit perfectly. I have a medium ear canal, so the fit is just fine. And a tight seal isn't needed since these are open back IEM's. This gives a wider soundstage, but don't expect soundstage as wide as a full sized planar headphone. The weight is fine and the earclips work remarkably well. I've worn these for hours with no pain or comfort issues. But take it with a grain of salt, I'm not bothered by the weight of the Monolith m1060c or Audeze LCD-XC either.
For what you get, I think these are an excellent value especially if you want 90% of a $500 Audeze IEM for significantly less.
