What is the range?

BEST ANSWER: The range of all antennas depend on where the antennas are mounted. The TV stations mount the transmitter antennas on high towers. If you have a high mast to mount your home antenna on, and there are no hills (or thick trees) blocking line-of-sight, you range could be around 30 miles. If you use the antenna indoors, the walls of your house might block the signal. If you have dead-zones inside you home, where your cell-phone doesn't get a good cell signal, your TV range may be less than 10 miles. If you have direct line-of-sight to a TV station, your range is only limited by the gain of the antenna. Smaller antennas like this one will have less gain than a larger antenna. The LNA or pre-amp helps a lot with smaller antennas. I see Monoprice has another antenna about the same size (less cost) as this one. It as many reviews, it likely has about the same performance as this one. I use a larger antenna outdoors on a 30 ft ham tower, no pre-amp and I have 50 mile range.
