What are the cords hanging down from the mount?
A shopper
on May 28, 2021
BEST ANSWER: These are pull strings to open up the spring loaded clips that keep the TV secured/keep it from being able to be swung out from the bottom. Pull them down and swing the bottom of the tv out from the wall to remove it. They have small magnets in the plastic end pieces of the cord so you can stick them up on the steel mount behind the tv to keep them out of site.

The mount has a kind of spring loaded locking mechanism that lock the tv onto the mont more securely. Pulling the string opens the latch. So dont cut em, just tape to the back of you don't like the look. That's what I did

What does minimum ext. mean?
A shopper
on Dec 25, 2021
BEST ANSWER: This is the minimum distance between the back of the TV and the wall, or how far the tv sits from the back of the wall. The kit does come with 2 sets of spaces, 3/8" and 3/4" to help push the tv further from the wall if you need the space for cords or for mounting hardware to line up. Very easy to use

Can you cut the vertical bar if they are too long? Given the shape and the location of the TV, the vertical bars would come out about 3" under the TV.

BEST ANSWER: Yes, the mounts appear to be regular thin steel that are easily cut with a hack saw.

Is this bracket weather proof?
A shopper
on Mar 27, 2022
BEST ANSWER: It would probably be fine outside, but I would not call it "weather proof." The release mechanisms and the strings would probably deteriorate over time and make it harder to get the TV off the mount, but probably would not be an issue where the TV would detach from the wall bracket.

Good mount, very tight to the wall install!
This mount was the one which got the TV closest to the wall for the most flush mount I could find. I had to drill open one of the holes for the mounts (55" Samsung with VESA 400x400) to have things line up for the lowest holes. Install is simple, the parts are high quality, and the pull strings to disengage the locks have magnets in the plastic handles so they'll stick to the mount and not dangle down below the tv. It helps to have someone stand off to the side to help spot the tv sliding onto the wall bracket since it is so tight but its easy to know you've got it on because you'll hear the lower mounts click into place. It looks great!

Slim profile is great. Easy install.
Easy to install and it looks great against the wall. The wall bracket has a built in level bubble and I compared it to my Johnson bullet level and it was dead on accurate.
It is so slim that I had to mount the TV on the wall bracket and then plug in the cables by feel because there was not enough clearance to plug in the cables and then manipulate the TV on the wall bracket. It was well worth it given as good as it looks now.
The release strings are easy to access and plenty long enough. Removing the TV from the wall bracket is quite easy too.-
